toddler turning 3

Hi,
Please help I have toddler turning 3 this October and still overwhelmed. Maybe im still on denial stage, waiting for ped consultation re:developmental stage. He has signs of autism and not talking much and was diagnosed as suspicious of autism in other country as it was too lokg to wait for NHS. This answered my question and not sure what to do really. I am waitng for his speech and language terapy. Currently. I am full time working mom and trying to balance work and lookig after him. My husband is more flexible than me so we do shiftings. Im worried if he will be on a normal school or a special school. Please advise who had the same issue . Thanks it would mean a lot.

Hi @kashieca and a warm welcome to the community!
You are balancing a lot of different things so it's very understandable to feel overwhelmed.
It is good that you’re already waiting for speech therapy as that is a big step! I know the uncertainty about school can be hard but there’s still lots of time and with the right support, many children can do really well in both mainstream and special settings. Has anybody mentioned to you yet (maybe a health visitor, GP etc) what sort of school would be most suitable for your child?
It sounds like you're advocating for your child really well though! Do you have a support network around you at the moment? Whether that is being able to lean on family, friends or even a parent support group?0
