The current NHS is completely out of date regarding Neurological Conditions, and fails to provide the required support.
This is partly due to the previous governments threat to sack any NHS staff willing to publicly discuss, assess, diagnose, and provide the requires support for those of us who have neurological conditions such as Auditory Processing Disorder, the listening disability, which is the main underlying cognitive cause of Specific Language Impairment (recently remarketed ad Developmental Language Disorder), and Developmental Dyslexia symptoms.
All of may family have a clinical diagnosis of having Auditory Processing Disorder, our now 3 adult sons, my wife and me, and possibly our grand children, but we have never got any of the much needed lifelong support post diagnosis. We are surround ed by frauds claiming to be medical professionals :- Audiologists, Speech and Language Pathologists, and Psychologists who are decades of of date with the related international research that explains our disability and our support needs.
