Hi, my name is Holly_Mildred! Awarded lower rate of care only
I have in my past, worked for DWP, when I was classed as disabled, but after I had received a "full award" …. Higher rate on both….. and had received it up until I had a review, that then put me on high mobility and lower rate care. I was on that rate for about 5 years, and then I left dwp and moved over to HMRC and they then awarded me lower rate care only! I'm still on that level, even now, although my back is getting worse again…. I can guarantee that I will never again get awarded a full award (higher rate on both) as it just feels staff are now told that giving a full award must stop!

Hi welcome to the forum.
Very sorry to hear about your health issues.
Does it just feel like staff are now being told to stop giving full awards or are you able to provide evidence because people here need evidence rather than gut feeling.

Hi @Holly_Mildred and welcome to the community. I'm sorry you haven't been awarded the higher rate. Have you appealed the decision?
I want to add that people are being awarded higher rate for both components in case other members read this and worry about their application.
