Hi my daughter is autistic and she hasn’t spoken in 4 years we want to get her started with a AAC device to see if this would benefit her which I believe it will immmensly does anyone know of any charities that give grants for iPads and proloquo2go? She is 19 years old and we get PIP for her but it really isn’t enough we have applied to family fund but I doubt they will accept us because I have a full time job and not on universal credit but we do get universal credit in my daughters name to help a bit too not sure if that means they will help us? Anyone can help thank you.😔

    Hi @jujumay

    Welcome to the community.

Accessing AAC technology is a great way for a person to be part of a conversation and have their voice heard.

I've included the link to Scope's information page on AAC technology Communication aids and AAC for you to consider.

You mentioned you have already applied to Family Fund. There is another charity called The Sequal Trust and the link to their organisation is listed on Scope's page.

Communication Matters support people to find the correct communication device to meet their needs. It might be worth connecting with them for more information.

    Kind regards.
