    Ha that photo made me laugh @StarryEyed! Now that is a diva!!

    Yeah I like going out for meals, me and my friends try to catch up as a group around every 2 months-ish and it's usually over a meal😊 What sort of restaurants do you like to go?

    I really enjoy celebrating other peoples birthdays but not really my own haha unless it's very, relaxed and chilled out😄 What about you? Are you a fan of the birthday celebrations?

    Glad you had a good time @yellowpineapple84! Are you able to volunteer often?

    What are you reading at the moment @lillymay88? We do have a October Book Club coming up as well as a reading discussion where we talk about all things bookish😊

    Morning, thank you for letting me know 😊 I am currently reading the Housemaid series by Freida Mcfadden

    I loved those books, especially the first one @lillymay88! Have you seen the film?

    I have seen the film and liked it, even though there is alot of difference between the book and film. I normally like reading a book before seeing its film or series, but I owned the books after seeing the film. Have you seen it? Did you like it? 😊

    what made me smile, was a thought about sitting on my late Grandad’s knee watching Laurel & Hardy. Took me back to some very precious times at my Grandparents in the late 80s into the early 90s.

    I'm the same @lillymay88 I much prefer reading the book first and then seeing the film or tv show😊 I enjoyed the film but I wish it stuck a bit closer to the book, I thought Amanda Seyfried was great in it! What sort of books do you usually like to read?

    That sounds like a lovely memory @Rag_793, were you able to spend a lot of time with your Grandparents?

    It changes. Most of the books I like reading are thrillers, dramas, romance, and biological books 😊

    A dramatic sunset sky filled with golden and amber clouds. The bright sun glows near the horizon above a dark silhouette of rooftops and trees. High above in the clouds, an unusual, translucent green orb with a geometric honeycomb pattern floats directly in line with the sun.

    This sunrise made me smile this morning. The best one of the year so far😍

    Sounds like a good variety @lillymay88! Do you have any favourite authors?

    Lovely sunrise :) Yes, I would say Freida McFadden and Colleen Hoover. DO you have a favourite? @Mary_Scope

    I really like Eliza Clarke, Coco Mellors and Maud Ventura @lillymay88, they all seem to write really complex, layered, "unlikable" female characters really well😊.

    Frieda has written some great books, I think my favourites I've read of hers are The Housemaid series and The Co-Worker. Have you read that one?

    I haven't read any of Colleen's books but I have watched It Ends With Us, did you see that? What did you think? And I noticed Verity is in the cinema tomorrow, will you be watching?😊.

    @Mary_Scope I have read a lot of Frieda but have not read The Co-Worker. I do a book exchange with my auntie, and that is how I get all my Frieda books, so I might read it at some point.

    I did see It Ends With Us; I thought it was a good film but preferred the book. Yes, I noticed. Verity is my favourite Colleen books that I have read, and I am planning on watching the film and looking forward to seeing it. Are you planning on watching?

    @Mary_Scope what a spectacular sunrise!! I adore everything about birthday celebrations - the idea of celebrating the day you were born, candles, cakes, ice cream, decorations, birthday cards, presents, the birthday song...everything! Birthdays are one of my favourite things in the whole wide world. As for eating out, I don't much because of GI sensitivities. I have no favourite foods when eating out. Typically I'll go for a coffee or a drink or breakfast or a snack and only rarely lunch. Never for supper because it's ridiculously expensive and because they eat crazy late here, like 8-10 PM. Nuts, eh??! What are your favourite meals out?

    ++++++

    Today I smiled a ton because I went with one of my besties to shop at IKEA, then I had a meatball meal and she had chicken wings. It was a perfect day!

    Spent some good times with my grandparents, even taught myself how to ride a bike there on my own. I was gutted my grandfather died in 94, I honestly don't think I have ever got over it. I was 10 years old when he passed, Sadly we stopped being a family after he passed due to my Father & Uncle’s greed, after my grandfather named my fathers twin and my grandmother as sole beneficiary. I was supposed to have my late grandfather’s war medals, sadly I never got them, which still angers me to this day. My other grandfather passed in 91, my late Nana passed away in 96. Between 94 & 05 we didn't see my Dad’s Mum 🤬 we only saw her again at the funeral of another Uncle who was killed in a hit and run. We started to see her in the home, but then my Dad’s other brother who we lived close to, supposedly got a letter from my Grandma’s solicitors barring them from seeing her. When she passed in 07, I was told that if I had any respect for my father, then we were not to attend her funeral. Fare to say I have never had a relationship with my father in all the years I had him in my life, in 2015 I severed all ties with all of my family and haven’t seen or spoken to them since.

    @Rag_793 it's a drag to not have supportive family, but it's a such a load off to let go, in my experience. I hope it's the same for you. This summer I decided to give up on almost my entire family. I have three groups of family - Canadian, Swedish and Spanish. It's just too much to manage. At different times in my life I've had different contacts. This is the most in my life. Too much! I hope you're okay.

    +++++

    I'm smiling ear to ear right now because it's been cloudy all week (which is awesome) and finally it's raining cats and dogs, and it has been for the past hour. We'll get more still for at least a couple of hours. Oh my God we need the rain so much, and it sounds so beautiful, especially with thunder rumbling in the background. I'm a happy camper! Very happy!

    It was my first time for a long time on the previous Monday volunteering as I sadly hadn’t been able to for a while. I really enjoyed it :)

    I can hear the joy through your words @StarryEyed! If Spain has been anything like the UK then it's so needed! Do you find the sound of the rain and thunder relaxing?

    @yellowpineapple84 I'm eager to hear too about your volunteer work!

    @Mary_Scope yes I love the sound of rain and thunder and even lightening. It is awesome. We definitely need the rain too. I love how rain comes in the clouds from somewhere else in the world. The water cycle is globally connected, like so many other cycles. That's so cool. And I love how rain cleans everything. And I love how rain nourishes everything and everyone. Rain is good. really good.
