@Jennifer14Owen Something that you might find helpful with configuring your computer to your requirements to reduce visual stress can be found at https://mcmw.abilitynet.org.uk/

-
thankyou, i had an email from cris scope but dont no how to find it on here, if you answer this i dont no how or where to find it.can i just click on my name?0
-
@nanof6 At the bottom of the email there should be a yellow button marked 'check it out' - if you click this it should take you right there. Otherwise yes, if you click your name and then on the screen that appears click the 'notifications' menu on the right it should give you a list of the comments that people have made on discussions your involved in. Hope that helps.0

Small thing but a sensory impairments category. Physical impairments is a very broad term indeed: posts on sensory loss would be easier to find in a separate category. All that said I think this community is truly fantastic.0

Hi @Ajk110, this is a very good point and we're currently looking at our categories so I've made a note of your suggestion. Thanks for your input, and glad to hear your enjoying using the community.

Hi there,
I have a few wee requests.
Is there am easier way of getting back to threads and discussions I have been part of. For example in other forums I visit you can go straight to a list of topics and threads you have already commented on. The terminology is different on each forum. TES have a 'hotlist' of threads. On Mumsnet is 'Threads I'm on'.
I do think there need to be smaller topics as it's getting busy!! I know that is tricky as some people may not want to pin them selves to a label but its getting hard to refine topics down.2 -
Great ideas @mossycow!
You can find the discussions and comments you've made here:
https://community.scope.org.uk/profile/discussions/8447/mossycow
You can also click the star next to any discussion and it'll show up in your bookmarks:
https://community.scope.org.uk/discussions/bookmarked
But - completely agree that it's not easy! We're hopefully making a change soon so when you go to the homepage it'll have a list of conversations that you've been part of.
And as I mentioned on the other post - we should have some new categories soon to make it easy to find what you're interested in!0 -
Keep an eye out for any posts that could trouble another community member, for example posts from those who are maybe through no fault of their own struggling with issues be them physically or mentally or indeed emotionally, but can become quite confrontational.
To check the community forum is running peacefully and balanced and fairly0 -

Hi All,
Yes by saying HUB I exactly meant to create proper place for people to meet in life and do things together and so more.
I know lots of charitable organisation from my research and I know that they had their personalised places . But their only welcome disable, disadvantage people with particular illness their support. They keep their doors close for others.
There is no many places for all to integrate together no mater what.

I am a researcher. Is there a space for people like me to engage with the community eg to give feedback about studies and to be involved in planning? Thanks0

A longer list of recent discussions as they disappear far too quickly very often without a reply, then shoot down the next list. A separate easily visible list of unanswered posts would be good. The present system is OK for fewer posts but when lots are appearing it doesn't work as well. Also a better system to notify the team of urgent cries for help or SPAM/advertising posts. Information as to when the specialist advisors are due online so posts asking for advice can be timed to get a response.1

Thanks for your feedback @wildlife
You can see a longer list of recent discussions here - https://community.scope.org.uk/discussions
The unanswered posts list is here - https://community.scope.org.uk/discussions/tagged/unanswered
Reporting - when you report a post, it is sent to the community team, if it is in office hours, it should be dealt with immediately. If it is out of hours, it is sent as an alert to me, if it's an immediate cause for concern, I will react straight away, if it can wait till the next working day then it is sorted the following work day.
Our advisors are all volunteers and do different times and days and so it would be difficult to share their times, but we do ask that they answer questions within 3 working days.
It is fantastic for us to get this sort of feedback and so thank you so much. If anyone ever would like to talk to the team, you can email on community@scope.org.uk
