    Hi Charmed

    Good to see you online!

It would be a good idea to phone the PIP department on 0345 8503322 just to make sure that they have your form and have sent it off to the assessors (they normally do this the day they get in the post from you).

It is worth letting them know if your health is worse than at the time you completed the PIP2 form for an extended period, say 3 months. This is because PIP entitlement is about your health longer term, so that although a prolonged period where your health is worse may increase your entitlement, a shorter period might not increase your entitlement.

As always, do get back to us if you'd like to discuss this further.

    Best wishes

Is that telephone number a local rate number or premium rate?

It's good that they have accepted that you need the home visit, although a downside can perhaps be that you will feel more at ease at home and that might come across to them as less disabled, if you see what I mean.

Anyway all you can do is to make sure that you tell the assessor clearly about the effect that your disability has on your daily life and also your mobility.

Please do read the information on the website.

    https://www.scope.org.uk/support/disabled-people/money/pip/faqs

Citizens Advice also has some good information about the assessment.

    https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/pip/help-with-your-pip-claim/your-assessment/

Good luck and do let us know how it goes.
