Hello @KathHurley
and welcome to the community. It is good to have you with us. I'm not, myself, any kind of authority on benefits, but we have plenty of such people here and some of them will be in touch with you in due course. It's also likely that your 'welcome' post may be moved to a forum that will give your post more exposure.
It would probably be a good idea for you to have a look at the links in the third column lower down the screen, headed: 'Employment, finances and disability benefits'. The first link refers specifically to ESA, and that's this one: https://community.scope.org.uk/categories/benefits-and-finances
This link, from the CAB website might also offer you some information:
http://https//www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/sick-or-disabled-people-and-carers/employment-and-support-allowance/help-with-your-esa-claim/esa-medical-assessment/
In the meantime, you're among friends. Please talk to us, ask us any questions, and let us do the best we can to help you.
Warmest best wishes to you both,
Richard

Hi @KathHurley, and welcome to the community!
Sorry to hear you've not heard back about your partner's ESA outcome, the waiting times seem to be really varied at the moment but fingers crossed you'll hear back soon. In the meantime, you might like to check out our previous ESA discussions. Do keep us updated and let us know if we can be of any assistance.
