Hi I am feeling guilty as I have left my husband of 47 years and the last 12 years since his brain hemorage he has been mentally abusive to me and I just reached a stage where I couldn’t deal with it! However I still look after him get his shopping, medication and help where I can

Hi @josiedo welcome to the community! Sorry to hear this, I know it’s easier said than done but try not to feel guilty. As awful as to what happened to your husband, you need to be happy within yourself and if this was affecting you over a long period of time, with no signs of being resolved, then you’ve done the right thing.

Yes I had a Brain Hemmorage myself.
Luckily I didn’t turn nasty.
