Hello I'm new here
I was diagnosed with moderate COPD had quite a few infections since then , had to have a spirometry test again last week because I'm not doing so good, my fev1 was 68% this time still classed as moderate my question is how bad do you need to be before claiming pip also I've been asthmatic all my life.
Can anyone give me any advice because looking it up on the internet is confusing thank you

Hello @smokeyjo Pleased to meet you welcome.
Thank you for joining and sharing.
Have a look at our online benefit checker This is a handy tool gives you some idea of what you may be entitled to.
You can also find out more information about benefits on our website.
I would also consider speaking to CAB for any benefit advice. Have wealth of knowledge and expertise. Especially form filling in.
I do this for all my benefits and it is always a good idea as you can talk to them face to face. Something to consider.
Citizens Advice have question by question guide to filling in a PIP claim form on their website. Which you might find useful to look at.
You could contact your local Bureau should you need further support.
We are a friendly, supportive community. Please ask if we can advise. Some one will know.
Please take care
