I would like to share my experiences and advice with others. I've been diagnosed with OCD 3 years ago and PTSD several months ago. I've been on medication and had a number of therapies over the past 3 years. However, I've been suffering for 8 years. It's been very hard for me to accept that I'm not well and need help. I would love to hear your stories and advice from those who have some experience of OCD and complex PTSD in particular sexual assault and bullying.

Hi @Lpinkrose welcome to the community!
Thanks for sharing this with us, however I am sorry that you went through this. I experienced some form of PTSD due to being hospitalised last year. Thankfully, exposure to these environments have helped massively and given me closure.

Hi @Lpinkrose a warm welcome to the community
We appreciate you sharing your story with us. Thank you - you may find our Mental health and ESA forums useful. There's also a blog post, by our lovely campaigner Ashley- you may find encouraging. Trigger warning: mentions sexual assault, rape, suicide attempt

Thank you Ami2301, I hope you are well and it's great you have found a strategy that has helped you in your recovery. I've been struggling through therapy, and had to discontinue the course after only a few weeks. So my recovery has met a pause. I do chat to someone I'm close with to discuss my trauma when I'm feeling very unwell. I hope I find that closure.
