Hi @ceebee58 - Welcome to the community & thank you for joining. I'm sorry to read about your accident & subsequent problems. I have a genetic disorder which has resulted in generalised osteoarthrosis due to hypermobile joints, & I also have neurological problems which mean I have chronic pain. I have been where you are, my GP increasing my pain meds, until I was asleep half the day. What helped me, was looking at different approaches to manage my pain such as gentle exercise, as I found I was stiffening up with not moving much, relaxation exercises, & distraction, etc.I'm still in pain the moment I'm upright, but managing it, & find being able to achieve small goals some days gives me a small sense of achievement. My current GP also increased a med I take which doesn't have a sedating effect.Pain is very personal, & a difficult thing to manage, & sometimes pain meds become less effective if used long-term. So I'm just mentioning what helped me, in case it's of some use to you, now or in the future.I see you have some pets. Some of us have shared our photos in the 'Coffee lounge' section of this forum. There are a couple of photos of my kitten, Shadow there.
