Hello everyone, i have just moved to a new place and feel a bit isolated as i dont know anyone. I am a carer for my husband who has many disabilities like M.E. Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue syndrome, postural and ostural hypertension and heart failure. I wondered if anyone wanted to befriend me as it can be hard.

Hello @victoriakatrina1993 - Welcome to the community, & thank you for joining & sharing. I'm sorry to read you feel isolated, as sadly do many other members here. It must also be hard looking after your husband with the problems he's facing. There was a thread on here a while ago about Social prescribing which may be helpful. See: https://www.blurtitout.org/2019/10/03/social-prescribing/ Your GP should be able to tell you if it's available near you. The idea is to let you know what sort of groups/activities may be accessed to lessen isolation, etc.Another thing that's been mentioned is 'The Chatty Cafe Scheme,' where people can share a cuppa & chat with others. See: https://thechattycafescheme.co.uk You can use your postcode or area to search if there's such a scheme near you : https://thechattycafescheme.co.uk/find-your-nearest-table/You will also find other people here to chat to too. Hope perhaps some of this may help.
