I was told on the phone yesterday that my award letter was sent out thursday as i have been given enhanced daily living. this is a brand new claim which was started mid october. Should I not have received either the letter or backpay by now? If people could tell me the timeframes of receiving theirs it would be much appreciated.

HI and welcome,Usually the money comes before the letter but it can be the other way round. For the backdated money it's usually 3-5 working days into your bank once it's been sent by DWP but this does depend on who you bank with.Letters from DWP can take as long as 10 working days to get to us. Again it depends on the backlog of mail coming from DWP.0

You're welcome. Great news by the way. To be honest as your claim only started in mid October, that's actually very quick. Sometimes a claim can take several months or more.
