Star wars man cave, anyone else collect things and have a room to display?

So i'm a massive Star Wars fan, i remember going to see the first movie back in the seventies when i was a little boy, it really touched a nerve, and all through my childhood abuse, it kept me going, no matter how bad it got i always knew Luke and the gang would be there for me, so onto the room, a few years ago my Daughter moved out to go to Uni, so that meant the box room was free, so i got a few cabinets and got to work filling them
i have a leather recliner chair in there and when things get bad or i'm in pain, i go in there and chill out, really helps me, yes i'm a nerd, but thats not a bad thing
heres my view from the recliner

anyone else have a room they can relax in, can be anything, music/ library/ other

do you have any pics of your cat?
Thank you for your kind comments about Christy. Yes, she is a rescue cat and is aged 7. Yes, a lot of people like her colouring, thanks. She is a real diva, very sweet natured, but knows her own mind and if she doesn't want to do something she won't do it. A lot of people think having a cat is less bother than a dog, certainly not in Christy's case as she is hard work at times, as she is a house cat, but we love her dearly and wouldn't be without her!

I also have a collection of model cars (mostly Minis) but the majority of those are stored away at the moment.

@chiarieds that day bed looks like heaven to me! All those books
@66Mustang my dad loves single malt whiskey too! I recognise a lot of those brands. Have you been up to the Highlands to visit the distilleries?
@Chloe_Scope I cant wait to start visiting theatres and watching shows. It's one of my top goals when its safe to go out again. What is your favourite programme/show?
I've struggled with making my house a home through anxiety so I started picking up nice bits from places I've travelled to or visited as physical reminders of the good memories, for example, I have a little Troll sitting on a shelf from Norway which always makes me smile. I am doing up my spare room/office and in there I want to have a collection of pretty covered hardback versions of my favourite books. Little Women shall be my first purchase and take pride of place when all the decorating is done. I've grown to realise these physical items can have a positive impact on my mental health so am embracing it

No I haven't but that's a trip I really want to make, along with visiting The Highland Chocolatier (look him up!)!

In terms of collecting, I collect old arcade game boards which I hook up to a TV. I also loved the original Star Wars arcade game made in 1983 by Atari, I am not sure if you have played or heard of it? Anyway while I don't have it yet I am looking to get this licensed replica at some point this year for my game collection.

Heres my vintage collection of figures, a lot of these are my childhood originals, some were payment for abuses from my father, but i can look past that and remember the joy they brought me separate to the pain
top shelf is star wars, second shelf is empire strikes back and 3rd shelf is return of the jedi
Jedi and boxed vehicles, this cabinet is were the bulk of the valuable side of the collection is, theres money in the whole collection but the vintage is most valuable, left to the wife and kids
Nice. Do you have any Lightsabers?
I think it's interesting watching the evolution of detail on some of these figures too. Do you prefer your original stuff @Grinchy or the newer bits you've picked up?
My other half is pretty into Labyrinth @JadeB90. She's been serenading (harassing) me and the kids with 'Magic Dance' for years. What's your best piece of memorabilia?

The collection is a mix of both modern and vintage, i like modern, but my favourite is the childhood vintage figures and minirigs,
Theres some new extra features on there so should keep me busy for a while, i find the behind the scenes stuff fascinating
I collect Liverpool FC memorabilia, mostly old shirts. I also collect medieval British and European weaponry. I just need a bigger house for a man cave!

I collect most of my stuff and keep it in the boxes, this set is made to display that way but i do like loose figures to, must have a few hundred loose figures in the collection
Now you have all the films, which one is your favourite?
I am very lucky to have a music room where me and the cat go to strum and sing.
Marley cat rushes up as soon as she hears the door open, she loves a sing song, Mabel cat runs away, she prefers singing in tune...Marley and me don’t care!
I buy some, repair broken ones, and make some.
Hey @adamskis, very nice collection, do you have a favourite guitar,? very nice music room, thanks for sharing
it depends what for.
they all have their sweet spots, but if I could only have one, for everything, it would be my Les Paul.
