I was lucky that the delivery guys took the old one for recycling so my carer said to put the food in the new one even though you can't switch them on for 4-5 hrs. Inside the freezer is sealed and cooler than the ambient temperature so food defrosts much slower than in the kitchen. By the time I switched it on most of the food was still frozen hard.0 -
Will be interesting to see if anyone has any additions to this thread on Friday0

I have a strange purchase I could share, I used to have a drug problem (weed) which I would smoke constantly to numb my past experiences and to deal with bad anxiety. However I quit smoking completley 3 weeks ago, I have tried in the past to quit but always struggled and would cave in after a week. I have never gone 3 weeks in total without it. I found a site that sells CPD hemp flowers that look like weed, smell like weed, and taste like weed but are legal and without any THC which is the psychotoxic and addicting part of weed. It also calms down anxiety and gives you the healthy bonus of CPD oil does which is good for my crohn's disease. So i'm kind of tricking my mind with this, and its well worth it if I can come of weed for good, which so far looks promising as I've never gone this long without it before.I know this is probabley controversial subject but I just had to share.1

Well done @rubin16 - I've seen in the medical literature that CBD can help with addiction, as well as pain & anxiety, so I think it's great you're trying this, & more importantly, that it's helping. My last online purchase was also CBD, which I've been using for over 3 years for pain. The company I buy from also had an early Black Friday deal on CBD transdermal patches, & a new vape, so I've bought those in addition to my normal CBD oil to see if they may better help. Anyway, thank you for sharing rubin as this sounds so positive for you.1

I have a bit of an odd one…I was going to make a purchase that came to £47 but needed to spend £50 to get free delivery, or pay £4 for delivery. No brainier so I added a random product for £3 rather than pay £4.
I got an email saying they’ve dispatched my order but it’s coming as 2 separate deliveries.
So surely it was completely pointless making me buy the 2nd product as it’s costing them twice for delivery. In the case of the 2nd product, more than likely more than the product is worth. They could have just let me have free delivery on the one product.
I know it’s just a computer system which is unable to use discretion but did baffle me a bit!0 -
@66Mustang I think sometimes it is dependant on warehouse locations.I put in an order 3 days ago for 8 items. It was split into 5 separate parcels. I queried it and that’s what they said to me - all in various different locations.2 of the parcels arrived today, 2 of them have arrived with the courier and should be with me soon, 1 is yet to be dispatched.0
-
@MarkM88 that makes sense about the warehouses. I just thought it was a bit odd that they wanted me to add what is probably a loss maker for them to my order in order to get free delivery.
I’ll enjoy my (in my mind) free bottle of beer when it arrives, anyhow.0 -

I bought 2 new shirts, went for XXXL as I like a baggier shirt, but have to send them back as they are too smallMy current shirts from a different brand that fit me fine are only XXL
So the new shirts that are a size bigger are smaller
I think it would maybe be useful if there was a standard sizing system across all brands0 -
Friends (TV Show) Colouring book - great book, and really fun to colour. The pictures are great quality. Highly recommend to any Friends fans out there?0

I've bought the last of my christmas presents, some Paint brushes and some model paint set for my dad as he collects and paints models as a hobby.I also bought some nicotine patches for myself which are the lowest and last step now after quitting smoking, so I just take these for a further week and then I would of fully stopped smoking.0
