My last purchase was a set of screw drivers which I need to adjust the bracelet on the new watch that I just collected
How exciting @66Mustang! Did you manage to adjust the bracelet okay? :)
Not yet - the screw drivers are on their way and should be here today! I'm sure it will go OK, though :)

We just took delivery of a big treat for Christmas, a Christmas cake from Fortnum and Mason. The Christmas Cake is usually a big part of our Christmas and we usually get it from a “posh” shop like Waitrose or M&S. Surprisingly, this cake was no more expensive than a Waitrose cake, albeit it is smaller, but that’s how we justified it. We are really looking forward to it :)

@woodbine that happened to us a few times, in the past though not a neighbour. We used to get one most years but not all, but never liked to assume so always bought one as well. Sadly the person is quite a bit older now and no longer able to make their cakes which always went down really well.

Have some Christmas money and am thinking about buying a decent pair of headphones after using the cheaper ones for a few years.

Any recommendations? I don't really listen to music, mostly videos/podcasts/audiobooks so something that is good for spoken voice.

I got the Bose 700 headphones free with my new phone. They are pretty good :)

I have always found Sennheiser to be good quality, depends how much you want to spend I suppose

Sorry I should have mentioned the budget. Around £100-150 but I’m of course happy to spend less.

Last thing I bought was cotton batting for quilt making.  They were having a sale with 10% off.

My son & daughter-in-law's Christmas presents. I was drawn to the 'Original Penguin's' (as I like penguins) brand some years ago, so everything since has been from them for Christmas for him, then have to match it with similar for my daughter-in-law.

I just bought 3 leather straps for my new watch

They were about £17 each including delivery charge and Brexit Tax and are coming from the Ukraine

To buy just one in the UK of similar quality would be about £50

Sorry I never know whether it’s the Ukraine or just Ukraine, didn’t mean any offence if I got it wrong

Just bought myself a new mattress after realising that mine was over 25 years old!  I can't help feeling a little decadent.

I think it's just Ukraine now @66Mustang, see this BBC article :)

    How's the new watch?

    @Tori_Scope

The watch is great, thanks

I haven't worn any other since I bought it last month (if you read watch forums you would see it's quite uncommon for a watch collector to wear the same watch for any length of time) but was actually thinking about getting the watch box out today to give it a break :D
