Shadow bought herself a new small scratching post with a large comfy seat on top of it, & a cubby hole to hide in on the base. She used my money, but said it was a bargain at half price, & she also bought a windowsill cushion for my son's cat, so she wasn't being selfish at all. She's really good at using the keyboard, & has watched how I buy things online, so seized the opportunity when I wasn't looking6

I’ve just ordered trousers and a top and jacket that I hope to wear travelling to my holiday if they fit ok lol2

@rubin16
Not 100% sure but from what you say I think I am maybe kind of similar to you socially in a way and I had a similar fear
I don't like to stereotype but the kind of people in the board game bar/cafe were like ... not really sure how to explain without being maybe rude ... but a bit quiet / awkward / maybe even nerdy? ... I fitted in well!!!!
Normally I wouldn't dare to go into a normal bar but this one wasn't full of like aggressive people or people trying to chat each other up and there were no bouncers2 -
Just to bump this up……
I’ve ordered a couple more of those competition tickets
One to win a bottle of rare cognac
One to win a 44 year old single malt
Not sure what I’d do if I won, I’d be scared because they RRP at like £1,700 a bottle so if you pour out a double there’s like £150 in your glass
In the grand scheme of things a nice worry to have I suppose2 -

I missed all the D&D talk, boooo! A friend used to go to a local store that ran D&D nights, it sounded great fun, but was always too busy for me. But plenty of places do online games over Discord and such @rubin16 @66Mustang
I'm looking into using Tabletop Simulator for the PC, so I can play Warhammer with friends across the pond.1 -
@Albus_Scope I know what you mean about things being too busy but I did find the board game place attracted people that seemed to present similarly to me, so like it wasn't loads of loud people but more shy types but who were nice when you found something to talk about
I would actually rather go into a place that's bustling with people I can relate to, than maybe only 1/3 full but with people who I don't really gel with if that makes sense!!
Just saying in case you can relate and/or it helps at all2 -

I used to play with it with a friend when I was like 17, I miss it so much. The stories and adventures were epic and building up your charactor was so much fun. I might do some research and find some groups that do it would love to get into it again. Need to find someone whos a good gamemaster and good at storytelling as my previous friend was really good at it and kept you immersive.

@66Mustang oh I can totally relate! But I'd be more happy with a half full room of people I can relate to haha.
@rubin16 it's definitely worth looking into, I found D&D groups great for my neuro-spiciness. I'll have a look and see if I can find info on it all and do a new post later.3 -

@rubin16
Its all gone over my head and over the garden wall. I’ve absolutely no idea what your talking about. LOL. Thought at first a D & D was a disco dance night out so was to crowded for @Albus_Scope
Guessing its games. Lol.
I actually may learn something. I use to play solitaire. Lol.
haha D&D stands for dungeons and dragons. Its where you build a charactor and follow a storyline and roll dice for different options, and you complete quests. Its really fun

This evening I had a few tabs open.I bought a security cam, with wifi & an SD card for it, then realised I don't have a card reader on this laptop, so one of them too. Also, a bottle/jar opener that screws under a cabinet, as I'm sick of not being able to undo things & having to leave them or damage a door jamb if it's small enough. I do love Temu & if the cam works, it was a steal.3

Sparkling water cans again still of Diet Coke but still getting bad headaches every day0

@durhamjaide2001
That's interesting (though unpleasant) to read that because one of my relatives came off full-sugar Pepsi recently, they used to drink up to 6 cans a day and when they came off they got really bad headaches for the first few weeks0
