I just had delivered a lovely advent calendar, a gift from a relative. I wondered who it was at the door this early on a Saturday. It was a really nice surprise!!!

I woke up to snow but it’s not as cold now.I love to look out at the snow. It just makes it feel like Christmas ❄️🎄

The forecast said a few times this week we were getting snow and it didn’t appear so I was shocked when I saw it this morning lol

Just checked we have more forecast now @Lou67 I've got kiddies coming over someone round the back has done a Santa's grotto with santa, if it's not too cold I might take then for an hour

It's actually a really special one, it's from Fortnum and Mason. A relative lives away but is quite fortunate and is able to buy stuff from them often, so at first we just thought they were using our address for their delivery, ha ha. The calendar has a 50ml bottle of drink (gin, rum, whisky, liqueurs etc) in each window and on the 25th you get a 200ml bottle of single malt Scotch.

I am not going to drink every day, will save some of them up, but am looking forward to opening it each day and seeing what I get.

Rare for me to say, I am always too hot, but it's really cold here.

I had to put a coat on to walk the dog, it wasn't cold enough to need to zip it up though.

Thank you @Beaver79 it really is pretty and well made, the great thing about it is that it can be re-used year after year as well, if you can find something that will fit in the drawers.

Afternoon all, been a cold night, sharp frost and clear through the night don't think it got super cold as the heating only went off once during the night, awoke to fog and frost and only now has the sun come out local radio says it's about 4 degrees out side but there is no wind, only annoying thing a chesty cough has turned into a cold out at the shops to get some cold and flue. Bus is nice and warm. Had a bloke come and sit next to me, had a coughing fit, he wore strong smelling aftershave, he looked at me said I shouldn't be out I'm a disease spreader. I told him I was fine on the bus till your stench came on, he moved to the front of the bus and I stopped coughing funny that.
