@lisathomas50 I am seriously jealous. I often wonder why j live here when there are beautiful places in UK to live. If I had the money I'd go to Spain. As much as I love England there is too much knife crime.1
-
@Sandy_123 in my village we won an award we have had no crime in the village for over 20 years since the community group started they would have no chance here lol
Why Spain there has been lots of crime there more guns than knives lol
My mum and dad moved to Spain for 12months and came back

@lisathomas50 is warmer then here lol, futerventurer is a lovely island,
That's good no crime in your area, it's every day here someone was stabbed in my town other day, if it's not that it's burglary s and pinching dogs.
Until the courts start getting tough nothing will change.
Just been out to the bin it is warm1 -
I read an article a few weeks ago that explained that harsher punishments don’t necessarily result in reduced crime - people will commit crime anyway regardless of the sentence
Don’t get me wrong, I’m in the camp of punish all criminals hard, just it was interesting to read the opposing view
I don’t know what the solution is1 -
We have the community watch group they only see a car they don't know abd it's reported to the police there has been alot of dog pinching going on here but when the van came was spotted in the village the police were there 6 dogs retrieved in the van and another 50 dogs retrieved from where they were keeping them the van had only just come to the village
It works the other way as well though you can't do anything in secret the whole village knows within the hour lol ?0 -
@66Mustang I don't know what the answer is either but it needs looking at0
-
@lisathomas50 I think I might of read about those dogs being found, it is good but like you say you can't do any thing with out every one knowing, mind you they would get bored with me lol0
-
The problem with online community watch groups are people can be vilified because of misunderstandings when they have done nothing wrong.
I have seen people do it i.e. “number xxx wasn’t clapping for the NHS on Thursday, shame on you” when they have no idea whether they had a reason for not clapping i.e. disability or emergency.
The other one that amuses me is when people see a police car and ask what it was there for as if they have a right to know hehe.
I am sure their heart is in the right place but a few people spoil it.0 -
Lol @66Mustang I think every one does it, like ooo police car at number so and so, I mean at moment it's oh they've got visitors lol. Even tho support bubbles exist.
Last year the new neighbours went out and their smoke alarms went off with smoke pouring out a window, so I 999 fire brigade, 3 engines turned up on blues and beeping because people had parked stupidm, they came in my garden to get access as I moved a garden fence panel so they could access the house. For months after I had, oh I noticed you had fire men lol. Turned out they left a pan on the cooker.2 -
@66Mustang yes there is that lol where I live if you weren't out clapping thry would be knocking the door seeing if everything is OK
When I have been poorly the first day they haven't seen me my door would knock to see if I am ok same with every one in the village lol
It's not very often they are wrong lol ?0 -
That’s fair enough imo if they were seeing if you were OK that sounds like a really nice community1
-
@Sandy_123 at least people notice things which is a good thing some people don't care and crime is high0
-
@lisathomas50 I'm not keen on 1 neighbour gets on my pip lol, the other side are nice1
-
@Sandy_123 ? lol can't like everyone I am just polite lol and say hello and thsts it0
-
@lisathomas50 that's all I do now if I can't avoid them. He acts all law abiding but I know there are some green smelly plants in his shed2
-
@66Mustang it's the safest I have felt in a long time I have been here three years my landlord was giving his tenants food parcels if we couldn't go out1
-
@Sandy_123 they are tomatoe plants lol ha ha ha ?1
-
@lisathomas50 lol0
-
