@Sandy_123 it was caused by a stone chip thrown up by an oncoming vehicle. Sadly can happen when the windscreen is a day old or you can go 10 years and not get it, just luck! :|

@Cher_Scope I agree haha but I really like my car so don’t mind spending money on it. I would rather have bought it some floor mats or something though!!!

I have a very annoying bt man next door hammering and drilling :/ I'm going to walk to the shop after my coffee, gives me exercise as I have to cross a field, but I rest on bench on way back. Be sirprised how many people sit the other end of the bench for a natter. Get some Vit D from the sun.

@cartha I think I have just aged ten years lol  they said she has had a severe reaction to the vacinstion
Glad to read she is feeling better. I don't understand why a vaccine that isn't live can have such a reaction in some people. I never had the flu vaccine because of what family members went through after having it (mum was ill for three months and elder daughter was ill for a good two weeks after) so I avoided it until last year when I gave in after a few chest infections from a simple cold. My arm felt bruised for a couple of days and that was it, thankfully. Not sure if these reactions run in the family or are complete one-offs. A tainted vaccine? At least they are rare.

I always have flu vaccine and had phumonia vaccine, had covid 1 now too. Some people react differently I don't know why

Expensive day today for me as I just got a crack in my car windscreen and need to get a new windscreen fitted. I only had a new one fitted 3 months ago! :( Another £50. I guess a consequence of all the country road driving I do.
Too much of a crack to be repaired? Then again, a repair may be more then £50 these days. Do you fit it yourself? My garage would charge more than that in labour alone. I also live in a rural area but we have more of a problem with mud and what the cows/sheep left behind than stones!

@Sandy_123 Yes, it's odd. Different ways we are made up I suppose. I've not been offered the COVID vaccine yet. I think the timeline is different in Wales. I think my age group is due by end of May but a nurse told me I may be called in earlier because I'm diabetic. Will wait and see.  Wouldn't it be nice if the vaccine causes the virus to die back so we can get back to normal lives again. I hope there aren't too many people refusing it.

@cartha it is odd. I think Wales do things different to England. I have heard that you can go on NHS website and book a covid test, but that's in England, I don't know if same applies to Wales.
Would be nice if the virus did 1, to be honest.
Which part of Wales are you in?

@Sandy_123 I'm in Pembrokeshire. Our GP isn't online yet. A bit behind, here ;-)  I used to use the online service when I lived in England in 2008. There are quite a few differences I noticed with the NHS in Wales. Regular tests I had done in England don't seem to be done here but prescriptions are all free here, so some good and some bad. It may vary county to county. Not sure if they differ.  I don't know if we can book a COVID test online here in Wales. I haven't needed to yet. We've been one of the luckiest counties regarding COVID-19 but that's probably because the villages are so small and spread out.

@cartha what a lovely little place you live, I went there a few years back, took 3 trains and 6 hours :l  went to see the castle and stayed 3 nights. Some great restaurants there. Altho it did feel quite remote. I'm not prepared to do that traveling again tho, can be in Spain quicker.

@Sandy_123 Yes, it's beautiful here, and the winters are very mild :-)  Whereabouts are you? If you came on the train along the south coast, that's a nice train ride when the weather is good. Great views. Which castle did you got to? We have lots ;-)  I'm up the north end of the county, just a walk away from the ferry to Ireland. Lots of restaurants and cafes here, all unique in their own way. Sadly many have closed now but hope they will come back when the restrictions relax.

If I go to my friends in Wiltshire it's a lot quicker to drive than take a train. The trains are slow here but I say it's to soak up the scenery ;-)  The coach may be quicker than the train, too. There is an airport in Haverfordwest but only private planes and pleasure flights. Pity they can't do a link to Cardiff airport.

@cartha I boarded the train at Birmingham to Bristol then to Swansea then to Pembrokeshire. I went to the castle in Pembroke town, HenryVii birth place. I'm into history especially the Tudors.
I thought we would pull into a big train station, but was just 1 track, with a platform lol. Stopped at a b&b as no hotel chains.

@Sandy_123 Pembroke castle is nice. There is a train that goes from here all the way through to Manchester without changing. Not sure if it goes anywhere near Birmingham. At the right time of year they run a steam train along that route. I think it's only once or twice each year for the steam train. My parents catch a train to Manchester for the airport. I think it's eight hours.  Some of the train stops here are request stops. One of the things I like about the area is no chains. Makes everywhere unique :-)  I avoid chains where ever I go because I prefer to sample what is available locally. We have no KFC, burger King, and loads of others people mention that I haven't even heard of. Lots of local farmer produce though :-)
