Yeah had my vaccine on Friday since I'm relatively high risk I think of getting it and suffering horrible things from it, but I'm thinking due to the what I'd say are quite severe side effects (though not dangerous ones, felt at least a fever, aching and feeling quite light headed usual for me, but nothing like when my J Pouch got infected in hospital was physically shaking like as if there'd opened every window was freezing cold, as my temp got to 39c when I was recovering from the operation would have been around Christmas Day in 2016 I think) if this is how just the vaccine feels cant imagine the actual virus, doesn't bear thinking about to be quite honest

@jsmith8899 I agree about vaccine and getting covid, vaccine does make many people tired for a short while. It effects everyone differently.
@lisathomas50 enjoy your walk and it's cold here got heating on2 -
Morning all! How's everyone doing today? I've had a nice chilled morning and my bloke got me some daffodils to brighten up my desk which I thought was lovely
Just to add about @janer1967 's suggesting the use of PM's, of course that's one option if you have made close friends on the community and want lengthy chats. The team equally wish we had a function for turning off notifications as they soon mount up, but if you just want to say morning and have a little catch up that's fine too. I think this is a sweet thread for checking-in on each other, particularly over lockdown.
What's everyone's plans for today?5 -
@lisathomas50 I never suggested it was all the time or that all chat should be done by pm.
Just as @Cher_Scope suggested above if it is a lengthy chat just between 2 members then pm is more appropriate in my opinion
But I know you dont agree with any suggestions I make so will just leave it at that
Ad i said was only a suggestion but taken in wrong context yet again2 -
Hi @Cher_Scope
That’s really nice to get some flowers
Before 12pm I already walked the dog and had a short appointment with the doctor to check up on how I am doing. It went well not sure what to do with the rest of the day now...1 -
@Cher_Scope wish I got flowers my bf doesnt believe in giving flowers he treats me to things like food steamer and step ladders not very romantic but appreciated
Had busy morning sorting earning prepared roast dinner rang mum
Now time to chill b4 chicken needs to go in oven1 -
@janer1967 that's fine looking at it there was a gap where no one else was in the conversation I was doing things and was just answering so I apologise
It's been like that on a few other threads later on in the evening I think people just drop off the conversation0 -
My mother, on behalf of my then small children once got me one of those old fashioned heavy iron mop buckets for mothers day and told everyone how pleased I was with it and had always wanted one....said no one ever, including me!3
-
@66Mustang Ooft get you! I haven't left the house yet Are you reading any books or watching TV programmes that you could lose yourself in for a bit?
@janer1967 Step ladders. ha. I suppose they are practical, bless him! I've trained my other half well, or possible wore him down after 11 years together Sounds like a lovely afternoon you have planned.0 -
@Cher_Scope the step ladders are practical but not for someone like me who only has 1 leg can hardly hop up them . Suppose they come in handy so he can get in the loft . If only I could get up to close the hatch while he is up there1
-
@janer1967 Doh I never thought of that! Eeeeh, well he tried... Reminds me of the time my mum's OH got her a lampshade for Christmas. He wrapped it and everything... a plain white lampshade. He must have done a mad dash around Wilko's (or any other reputable household shop) at 4pm on Christmas eve, ha.
