Also hope everyone has a good night/sleep if I don't come back after dinner.

The dog we have now is lovely, but she's hard work.

House training was a six month nightmare and it took her ages to understand that not every dog we meet is a friend.

@Teigr worth the hard work though :)

Just wondering, in the end how did you manage to teach her that not every dog is a friend?

We let her figure it out for herself @66Mustang,she soon got the message once she'd been 'told off' a couple of times.

@Teigr she must be more intelligent than our dog!! We have tried that to no avail sadly. I think the only way would be for him to actually get hurt, which we obviously don't want. (He learnt about electric fences in that way!)

We used to bump into a little spaniel cross when we had our old dog,he was always very keen to play and he must have been 6 or 7 before he understood that a lot of dogs weren't interested.

Our old dog used to sigh when she saw him approaching,it was really funny.

@Teigr Was just thinking - our dog hasn't been "snipped" - I wonder if it's to do with that? Still has that alpha male dominance streak maybe?

That might have something to do with it.

Although one of our neighbours had her bulldog snipped wen he was four and he got even worse,a dog behaviourist told her that it was because she'd left it too late.

@Teigr ah, that's interesting to know. It could be best to leave him intact now then. We will have to properly look into it if we ever think about it. Thanks. :)

@Ada he lives about 15 mile from me we live opposite sides of town and I can only use taxi

His son is with him so not on his own thankfully

Will keep me updated with what happening

I'm OK just worried about him as sounds to me like symptoms of sepsis after I've had it b4 know what it's like . I'm missing him too not seen him for over 2 weeks

Looks like I won't be sleeping much tonight
