@mikehughescq, I absolutely love music...It has a way of evoking memories of where you were.. who you were with at that particular moment in time.

On a different note..I was wondering what you were like as a boy at School? I really admire your intellect...just wondering if you were the "Class Brainbox" lol.

I'm not sirprised at  males having their nails done, lots of men use clear nail varnish to make there's look better. The reason I never had mine done was the job I worked in, nail polish and long nails were off the list  so was never any point.

Would it come as a surprise that as a man I have had my nails done many times?

Initially had it done as a special treat when my partner was having theirs done. Then found it a nice way to kill time at airports. More recently it’s been useful as a guitarist.

I also recognised it as something I liked as my lack of focus meant my ability to cut my own nails produced what might be politely described as “erratic” results. For the same reason I get someone else to treat my feet.

Have to say I had a brilliant morning, which turned into a great day. 4 mile walk in the wind was “refreshing”. Shower, shave and head shave followed by a thing I do annually which is acting as a patient educator for 2nd year medical students to hone their communication skills and build the idea that medicine is about more than medical knowledge. I do multiple sessions usually in person at a university but currently remotely and they are an opportunity for me to tell my health story and then field questions. I do this alongside people with very contrasting stories e.g. people who have had major cancers or have been carers and it’s always fascinating to see the students see the common ground between us but also their genuine shock at my story. I’m allowed to decline to answer questions but I see no point and from my perspective it’s cheap therapy as every year a question makes me re-examine my own thoughts etc. Today was an especially chatty brilliant group so I came out buzzing.

Was then collected by a fellow manager to go to our workplace for only the second time in 2 years. Met the management team I’m part of for the first time in 2 years and spent 4 hours working through how to welcome staff back to the office in a new hybrid working world. Lots of fascinating new tech. Home by 5pm and then did a couple more hours work posting photos to MS Teams to give my staff a taste of their future.

When I got home my partner and offspring had packed up our spare bedroom (rightly translates as hundreds of my books) ready for painting to enable the offspring to move in and finally have a bigger bedroom. Pleased for them but also enable us to have a cosy guest room into which I will likely install a second small hi-fi system :)

Spent the evening listening to music. Halfway through my 5th album.
    Very interesting day for you

Hi Lisa - i'm in the midlands - can remember you saying you'd moved to Wales.
At least we know your okay, and good to hear your not in work, you certainly don't need any more stress.
