@janer1967 @chiarieds we are lone workers and in our own petrol station we can sit down and we have food and drink when it goes quite but the one we are training in has no chairs their boss doesn't allow breaks its complicated our own manager said it isn't good two of my team walked out after two hours

I xan report them to my union but its not my petrol station we are suposed to be training but they aren't doing that last night I had a nice guy and he did show me things but its just madness he said that they aren't on a contract they don't get holidays they don't have breaks some of my team have just been left standing around not being spoken to ignored its just unreal over petrol station is being rebuilt and we will  be a franchise I feel the need to report them but don't know who to

@lisathomas50 you are not lone working while others are there so should be able to take a break

As this isn't your normal place of work it makes it difficult I would personally discuss with your own manager which I think you have done . As this is a franchise your manager should know the policies in place and if they are not being adhered to he should take the issue forward

You could enlighten the staff their rights but it is down to them really to take action . However if while you are there they are refusing to allow you your rights then you can put in a grievance

Up at 6:56am. R4 news. Tea and muffins. Offspring fast asleep on the living room floor having obviously enjoyed the drama of Super Bowl. 4 mile walk in drizzle completed. Shower then work. By the time I got back the living room curtains are open and offspring has gone to bed :)
sounds a bit to tiring for me ha ha - i can remember my own lads used to get up in the middle of the night to watch the boxing - this is something the offspring will remember doing with you.

Busy day Mike, happy St valentines for those celebrating it,  I lost a loved one on this day so don't, besides that I'm single anyway. But hope you've all been spoilt

Sorry for your loss Sandy! Why not spend the day showing yourself love and being super kind to yourself? Love for yourself is the most important type of love of all 💗

    Eh?

Not upset me at all @lisathomas50. Was just working all day and only just catching up with stuff now. I do try not to give out personal info about my household so don’t take offence if I don’t give details. Let’s go with “old enough to know their own mind and be a damn nuisance ”. My other half does a job which would likely take a lot of people aback if I cited it on here but they also had a heavy day today so the sprog was banished to sleeping in the living room so we wouldn’t be woken at 3:45am. Worked really well.

I stayed up until about half past midnight but mostly doing other stuff. Left him to it after that. Today was my first duty welfare rights day of the year and these days are especially intense and all consuming so a decent nights sleep before is essential, especially as my eyes mean that duty can take me twice as long as it does for others.

"sprog" no that's a word i haven't heard for a while ha ha
