Yeah I'm doing house too but I found coffee, be rude not to1
-
Morning another rainy one. Got the gremlins over for the day, so lots of art and coffee and moaning.1

Very dull here today
Dentist cancelled my appt for tomorrow bit of a relief really as I rang to book taxi to find out it would cost £60 return.
Need to go back to drawing board find another one . So frustrating getting one that is local accessible and if they opened at weekends so bf could take me
There is one just up the village but its up flight of steep stairs

Jane 60 pound for a taxi is too much, that's rediculas price. Ring round for quotes. Some dentists, or they did before covid, did home visits. Might just be worth asking especially if u can't access it they might. My dentist is all stairs too, I often say when I go, but they have a down stairs room they don't use, which I think they would.
Its hit n miss here with rain today, kids ran out to blow there bubbles then ran back when it started again lol.0 -
The taxi fare is normal as it will take me over the county border even though its only 8 miles away, if I do same journey within county its £12.50 each way ridiculous .
I live on the outskirts of town in small village and this is only taxi company that will come out
I'm not in any pain currently thankfully
Bf going to see if I can go to his dentists when he goes as well0 -
Oh @janer1967 thats awful - think it's something us City folk take for granted xx0

Hello my friends had a bit of a funny day today - had phone call from hospital surgeon - he won't operate on my spine, says its to unstable. I am a bit up and down about it but hey ho its not the end of the world. x

Hello @SueHeath thanks for sharing, I think that's understandable, especially if you were expecting to hear different news.
Give yourself time to process things, and know you can always reach out here for support. Have you spoken to family or friends about it?0 -
Thanks all - if i was honest i was really frightened to have the opp. As i was told years ago it's not a cure just help with pain.
I'm fine and have spoken to all the family today - and i no i will get all the support and advise and distraction that i need from you all. I've said it plenty of times joining this forum is the best thing i've ever done.
He hasn't give up on me @janer1967 going to try a cocktail of injections, hopefully will knock the pain back a bit if that makes sense ha ha xx1 -
I'm glad you've found the community such a positive @SueHeath and hopefully you and your surgeon can work together to find an alternative way to manage the pain you're feeling.
Keep us updated with how things go, and I'm also pleased you've been able to speak to family as well1 -

Good afternoon @SueHeath, @Sandy_123 and all. It is indeed Thursday! Thursday’s = laundry day here. How are we all doing today?
0 -
@L_Volunteer laundry here too. I'm going to pop in the village with my grandson. Get some fresh fish n veg. N take him to the park for exercise, instead of him infront ov TV.0
-
@Sandy_123 - I hope the laundry and popping in the village with your grandson go well for you today. Some time outdoors in the park for exercise sounds better than TV. Certainly more refreshing. I hope you both enjoy0
-
