Morning all I hope yous have a great day. I didn’t sleep great either with the heat, it’s overcast just now but still so clammy supposed to get thunder storms at some point.

Im going up to see my mum today she gets her results from her scan tomorrow she finished chemo in April so this is to find out the outcome 🤞🏾

@Lou67 I really struggled with the heat too. When I got up and went downstairs to the living room it was 26 degrees there (windows stay closed overnight due to ground floor), immediately opened up all the windows. Sending all my luck for you and your mum.

Morning all, good news it's raining round my way , proper heavy stuff, it was a bit stuffy this morning and the sun came out for a bit but now it glorious rain 🌧️🌧️🌧️ and down to 22. Whoop whoop 😁😁😁😁.

We got soaked to the skin on our walk this morning.Mr Teigr refused to shelter anywhere because "It's on for the day" and it stopped two minutes after we got home.

We have just been to the shop and I bought some grapes that are supposed to taste like candy floss. They actually do!!

 I'm just back from my mums it was a good visit, my brother was also visiting her so was good to see him, my mums trying to be positive but I can tell she’s also a bit worried.

On an entirely different topic, is there a specific word for rain that is spitting but the drops are really, really big? Cause it's doing that here now.

Today we had our first fully ripe strawberry (that the birds had not already eaten). Absolutely delicious, makes me wonder how they mess up supermarket strawberries that they become so less tasty.

@Jimm_Scope I think you sort of answered your own question, presumably you didn't put any "nasties" on your strawberries which mean they taste better but the birds get all but one of them. If they did that on a farm the few strawberries remaining would be £15 a pack.

That said I love strawberries home grown, they are really delicious. Have you ever tried growing wild strawberries? We took some that we found in the wild about 15 years ago and we are still growing new plants from them every year. The fruits are tiny but they have all the flavour of a big strawberry in a small package. Concentrated if you like.
