Hi all my lovely friends how are you all this evening ? I just had a nice roast dinner . My legs are still very restless managed to get some sleep last night and today . Tomorrow is my final visit from the hospital then discharged back to my community team on Tuesday . Iam anxious bout my discharge meeting . The nurses have all been calling as well as visiting and keeping in touch they said they all miss me but don’t want to see me back in a good way ha .
from what I have a read I could have this side effect for 6 months but all these anti pychotics come with horrible side effects . At least I’m not drowsy all the time I’m opposite I’m restless lol , xxI have been so poorly but I really hope that I will be on my way to getting better now it be nice to be able to live life more and manage my mental illness better and not let it get in the way of life . But I’m a strong person and will get there .
my concentration isn’t the best but iam back posting on the forum trying to give advice and support where I can xxx0 -
Thanks for the update glad your feeling so positive I have every faith in you keep up the good work0

cupcake88 said:@Cress how is your son getting on is he out of hospital now ?
I think he's going to be home on wednesday, but not confirmed yet.
He'll be having intensive support but as yet dont know what that will consist of exactly.
He's gone from blaming me for being there to accepting what he's been doing is wrong and accepting that he needs all this to happen.
His psychiatrist has mentioned meds for controlling his anger but didn't want to put him on any whilst he was there being assessed.
I think I'm happier knowing I'll have support with the alarm thing, apart from everything else.
And i wont be scared to talk about any issues he might have in future.
The police called it a serious assault and took pictures of all the bruising but I dont think they'll be pursuing it because of his learning disability and mental health problems...which is a relief!
Glad you're doing better now cupcake, keep staying strong and and thanks for all the support you've given me and others.
Its good to talk about this with people who know what you're going through.0 -
Hi @cupcake88. I’m so glad your feeling positive. I’m sure you’ll go from strength to strength with support off you partner and your health workers. Keep up the good work your doing amazing. ❤️0

@Cress. I just want to wish you well when your son does get out. Glad your going to have support there to help you.
My sister was sectioned a few years ago after a breakdown, it was a horrendous.Things did get better in time Stay strong and take care ❤️0 -
It's lovely to see you back posting on the forum @cupcake88 - you know how much you've been missed. It's good to read you've had a nice roast dinner, which I'm sure will do you good. How nice that the nurses have been keeping in touch, but no, you don't want to go back into hospital! You are a strong person & you will get there. Now what is there to be anxious about with your discharge meeting? You came home as it was realised that was the best place for you. The Dr will just want to see that you're OK before passing you back to the community nurses, that's all. You will pass with flying colours. Keep positive.I'm sorry about the side effects, but the main thing is having your mental health that much better. Ask the Dr how long your side effects might last, as he will be in the best possible position to reply, & make notes of any other questions you might like to ask.Take very good care of yourself, & I look forward to hearing how well your meeting with the Dr goes, xxx0

Hopefully something to celebrate with you too @Cress - I do hope your son does well at home with support, but, importantly you too. You've been in a very difficult situation, which seems to have been managed well, tho I'm sorry you were so badly hurt, & must in many ways feel apprehensive about your son coming home. You take care too, & look after yourself, xx

@chiarieds yes, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit apprehensive.
I'm hoping for the best but know that it wont be easy, I just feel more confident that I am going to be supported now and wont hesitate to ask for help in future.
Thankyou so much for your kind words as ever @chiarieds.
Hope you keeping well yourself.

Hopefully a new beginning has been made for you too @Cress - you both need support, & that needs to be acknowledged. I'm doing OK, thank you, just hope to see your wicked, yet delightful sense of humour back in the forum, but, for now, just wish the best for yourself & son.1

@Cress will your son be on any medication when he’s discharged ? I’m glad the hospital helps him . Like my dr says recovery starts at home in the community and with mental health it’s like you have to get worst to get the support that’s what I have found in my local area I had a community nurse but still ended up in hospital I hope she checks on me more I don’t want to relapse again but it’s also down to me to call them if I don’t feel well I just don’t like to bother any one xx
please keep us updated on how you and your are getting on xxxxxx0 -
