It's officially Pride Month 2021 and all month long we'll be keeping you updated with news of online events you can get involved in
First up is the charity ParaPride's Dis-section free webinar event taking place on 9 June 2021 between 6-7pm. Up for debate will be disability representation in the media and LGBTQ+ community. About this, organisers tell us:... with the help of our special guests we will reflect and discuss about how the representation of disabled people in the media today is often tokenistic and doesn't reflect the true spirit of our beautiful, resilient and proud community.
'Dis-section' is a safe digital space where we converse openly, honestly and respectfully, about topics that are often not talked about in wider LGBTQ+ society.
BSL interpreter and live captions will be available.
