I try to keep busy so that it takes my mind off the aches and pains
i have fibromyalgia, rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, macular degeneration, tinnitus, I’m currently waiting for a colonoscopy to investigate the latest bowel cancer screening. Which I must say has been dealt with very quickly, I only had to wait a few days for the appointment phone call, op next Wednesday
in the meantime it’s taken me nearly twenty months to get to see a consultant re very painful piles both ex and internal, again an op pencilled in seventh sept, I guess that’s just in case the one next week cures the pain I’m having, which will be great has not looking forward to having surgery.
I hope you’re all keeping well and doing what makes you happy and hopefully pain free
i do a lot of knitting, some for charity, (AgeUK, hats for the innocent drinks bottles, premature items for the hospitals that need them). I also knit for people who request items they would like i.e. baby items, cot and pram blankets, aran cardies and jumpers for all ages
i have in the past knitted for different shops, plus Robin Wool pattern fronts
some of the items I’ve knitted over the last 5 years are shown below, hope you like them
I'm almost 69, my lovely husband of 44 yrs is my carer, I don’t know what I would do without him, he also helps a lot of the neighbours and neighbours from where we’ve lived over the last 44 yrs, everyone says what a lovely man he is, yes he is and I’m so proud of him
he took early retirement from being a self employed carpenter/maintenance man to look after me. He’s transferred our bungalow into a beautiful place to live in.
Take care and stay safe
here are a few more that I’ve knitted for different ones

Those look amazing @Susanannr52
im in awe of anyone who can knit…I did try to learn a while ago, like you, to take my mind off things, but I gave up after becoming so frustrated that each time I’d end up with a knot I couldn’t sort out and my original cast off of twenty stitches always gradually increased to 21 22 23 etc.
it started to be the opposite of therapeutic…lol
afraid my skills don’t go beyond using wonder web…I’d use it to
attach buttons if I though I’d get away with it…0 -
Wow- great work @Susanannr52 Perhaps you'd like to share these on our KaleidoScope thread?
Good luck with your colonoscopy next week.0
