Hi @66Mustang - great your treats have arrived, however, since the visit with your somewhat grumpy relative went well, you can only have half of them (or do extra dog walks each day)! Save the rest for emergency rations. :) I'm just jealous btw.

@chiarieds hehehe :D I did share the treats if that counts  o:)

I will definitely make sure to ration them and do extra dog walks each day though because I’m doing quite well with my diet presently. I’ve lost over a stone since Feb 1st! :)

How are you at the moment?

@Libby_Scope I definitely agree that cream in hot chocolate is a game changer. It doubles the calories but even if I can only have it half as much I think it’s worth it! I’m really glad to hear your call with the nurse went well and was reassuring.

Hi @Libby_Scope - thank you. Just an Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome thing....another joint misbehaving, but which had the knock on effect of more subluxations with my knee on that side, & a lot more back pain.
Just noticed you said you'd had a pre-op call, so hoping all goes well. Are you any further on with an EDS diagnosis yourself?

@chiarieds I’m glad you’re well, though sorry to hear about your ankle, but pleased to hear it’s improving now. I hope it continues to do so and gets better soon.

    Thanks for the encouragement :)

Very difficult to do anything @Libby_Scope - I've been trying to rest it, but it will just take time. My ankles were my only joints that didn't misbehave, so frustrating, & difficult to maintain exercising when walking is painful, & I'm not good at resting!
Can well imagine tilt table testing was uncomfortable, but hopefully another thing to further a diagnosis. Hope you find out more soon, & that your endometriosis surgery goes well. :)
Thank you for your kind thoughts @66Mustang - I'm not too good when something else happens on top of my 'usual' pain, & don't take kindly to it. You're really doing great. :)

    Hi,

So I practice grounding techniques and you can easily Google image search the term to see what I mean, this technique is developed to bring you mentally back to the present, so it can reduce some suffering then when you notice it is working then you can focus on something else or keep busy!

@Nicetomeetyou22, wow sounds like you have your hands full, take care, i've heard and use grounding technique, works sometimes, but when the past comes screaming into my present it can get tough to get through, i do my best, thats all you can do,

@Grinchy I hear you as my past keeps screaming into my present aswell and I mean going right back into my childhood etc I never had best start in life as I got brought up in fostercare and terrible things happened in fostercare and before I got put in fostercare then some not so nice pleasant things happened after that but I'm on a waiting list to see a therapist but been told could take a year takecare.
