Hi, I have started writing this a few times now.  Not sure where to start, but. life has changed significantly for myself and my family last year.  I lost my Dad to Covid 19 while he was in the hospital.  I also had some challenges at work the past 2 years.  I have been called brave and courageous, determined and inspirational, however, I have Fibromyalgia, Lupus SLE.  I have found that movement and pain stiffness and getting up and moving around have been truly painful.  I never give up so looking for positive support and tips on how to get help in finding work and support in living my best life. Thank you.

Hi @FayeJ940 - & welcome to the community. I'm sorry to read about your Dad. You're doing exactly the right thing in trying to remain active, as otherwise this can increase stiffness & pain, tho I know this often isn't easy. It's great you've joined, as I'm sure you'll find this is a very supportive community with understanding too.
If you're looking for work, Scope has programmes to help with this, which I hope you'll find helpful. Please see: https://www.scope.org.uk/employment-services/
Do please come back with any questions.

Hello there @FayeJ940 welcome to the community, and thank you for reaching out last night.

I'd like to share my condolences for your loss, and I hope you know that you can still be brave and courageous, determined and inspirational and happen to have Fibromyalgia, and Lupus SLE. One does not cancel out the other :)

I hope you can find the community to be a helpful and supportive place. You might like to visit our chronic pain and pain management category to chat with members who share similar experiences.

Did you know that Scope has a number of employment services? As chiarieds has mentioned, you might be eligible to sign up for the Support to Work programme. There's also the Work and Employment category here on the forum as well.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you feel there's anything further we can help with, and I hope you enjoy your time on the community.
