@woodbine yes thats true . The roses love it 😊0

@ProudMumForever At the moment my favourites are California poppies and gazanias. Both very hardy and I’m looking forward to seeing them flower again in May/June time, they both last a long time too well into October or until a sharp frost, en they lay dormant til next season. Amazing plants.
I do have a rhododendron too and a good friend its been for this last thirty five years, ever since I liberated it from a farmers field surrounded by sheep and looking very poorly. It has blue flowers in May time1 -
We can flip for who goes first @ProudMumForever
I've got a 'grow your own bonsai tree' kit too, so I need to get a shuffle on really!1 -
@Tori_Scope Did you find the bonsai tree kit in the reduced section? 🤣2

My favourite plants are lavender, aubretia, verbena, lupins, delphiniums, carnations, crocosmia & foxgloves. I also have a lovely buddleia bush I 'inherited.' I discovered begonias last year & really like them too. I have some outdoor succulents, which seem to be doing well.Indoors, I like orchids, but my cat has destroyed 3, & a houseplant (mutters, also courgette seedlings), so have given up on anything inside. My daughter-in-law has been growing indoor cacti for some time; their cat & dog both behave!1

@leeCal .... I shouldnt tell you have LOL at youre comment about bonsai in the reduced section 🤣😂 because this will only encourage you 😂😂😂1

@chiarieds hiya i also love carnations . My buddleia did really well last year , even though its meant to be a tri colour and only bloomed 2 colours ! But the bees love it 🐝🐝 . I spent about 3 hours gardening yesterday 😊0

My son likes a tidy garden to minimalist for me - so just small amount of lawn to cut and feed a bit of weeding and feeding a few shrubs.0 -
I've bought some violas flowers for the front, to be honest I thought they were pansies till I read the
Label. I still.. need to get some leaves up.1 -

Hi to all,
I have had a succulent plant bought for Mother's day think its an indoor 1 I will need to buy compost & a bigger pot that is if its kitty proof or not my kittens take a liking to flowers & plants for some strange reason anyone know why cus I sure don't.

@Sparklebright63 hiya . I dont have any plants anywhere other than my kitchen window sills because of my cat .A lot of plants and flowers are toxic to cats , so its not worth the risk .
If you are going to repot youre succulent then you need to buy a bag of compost suitable for succulents and cacti and also mix it 50/50 with suitable grit for drainage ,as they need plenty of drainage . Post a picture 😊 .1 -
Hi Proud Mum Forever
Thankyou for the info I have 2 kittens and they like plants 2 I went in the bathroom the other day and one of the kittens had knocked it over a bamboo plant some of the leaves were missing apparently but no adverse effects on the kittens.
So I have now put it inside a big colourfull Jug I have had for years so they cannot get to it.
