Yes I am @SueHeath I have hypertension he's put me on some meds I'm bk at docs on 23rd August to get my blood took xxx

Bit nervous 😓  tbh @SueHeath he wants me 2 take 1 a night I have slowed down I got bk from docs at 10.55am my partner sent me bk to bed I slept from about 11am and woke up at 1.05pm he watched the kids and done there dinners he's also done housework my eldest daughter who's nearly 13 done dishes wiped kitchen benches etc xxxx

You'l be okay @Nicetomeetyou22 you will get used to taking the meds and hopefully you'l feel better.
At least your on the Doc's system to be checked now bab, with the family history as well, they will keep an eye on you. xxx

You will be fine darling, just give yourself time to process it all, have you had some lunch yet - whats the weather doing in your part of the world - it's scorching here I wish I was at the seaside xxx

@SueHeath it's alot to take in I'm only 41 but b4 my dad died he had to have a treble heart bypass I'm just so scared incase my heart starts to fail 💔 no I haven't had lunch hun I slept through it haha the weather here is about 25c too hot for me my partner has gone for me meds kids playing as the door is open I'm relaxing watching TV 📺 xxx

I know it's a lot to take in @Nicetomeetyou22 they will sort you, but make sure you try and look after yourself bab, by that i mean eat and drink to help support your body xxx

I'm going to try have a light tea @SueHeath my partner is really worried about me oh I forgot to mention my legs are swelling at the bottom and my feet look really chunky and my ankles hun xxxx

See if you can put your legs up on a stool, or elevate them a little @Nicetomeetyou22, that can help with swelling   and perhaps some gentle exercise if you can too.

If the swelling doesn't improve after a few days, make sure you speak to your GP about it.

Thank you @Alex_Scope I did that earlier when I lay down for couple hours it hurts to walk I'm really scared 😱 xxx

Try not to worry @Nicetomeetyou22 remember you can always contact your GP if you're feeling concerned, or call 111. 

It's likely to be caused by sitting in the same position for too long, eating too much salty food, or certain medications, such as antidepressants.

The heat (if you are down in the southern part of the UK), probably won't help with how things feel either! 

Just make sure you stay hydrated, and move about every so often

@Nicetomeetyou22 I used to take ramipril from a young age due to hypertension its a very common med to control it lots of people who are diagnosed with diabetes are advised to take it 

I no longer take it as after having sepsis a few times the reverse happened and my blood pressure was low.  It has now regulated and normal with no meds 

Glad your hubby is helping out so you can rest 

Have you seen a specialist yet about the concerns over the big C  not seen you mention anything recently

@janer1967 I'm still waiting on appointments etc I'm still getting my blood took every few wks I'm bk to get it took on 23rd of Aug I know its gonna come bk abnormal it always does xx

Wow its taking a lono time for an appt thought they has to see you within certain time frame 

At least your gp is keeping a check on you

Yes @janer1967 1 of my kids had to wait 20 weeks for an appointment then it took 13 weeks for results!

I have an appointment to see some1 in Dec @janer1967 which I got 2 months ago and that's for 12 Dec this year
