@Geegeenumber1 - That's really interesting! If it has more texture and depth, I think I must try it as I am greedy too. I agree that it often depends on the type/brand of bread too though  :D

I like coffee and walnut cake too buf agree can't find many nice shop bought ones

Try the Betty crocker range of cake mixes they always turn out perfect and very fresh as you add oil to them . Very easy to mix up and bake

@janer1967 i could see choc and lemon, couldnt see coffee

To be honest i can only have a tiny slice so doesnt affect diet anyway its overall calories at end of day, still gotta eat my lemon cake from my birthday as yet

Tonight not having fajitas now having turkish takeaway - so haalloumi, hummus, rice, lamb and chicken shish and pitta but again will be tiny portions over several days just had a nurishment protein shake for brekafast and no lunch so will have plenty of calories to spare

cant get motivated to study just doing bits of planning and reading got a bad headache, drinking lots of water, think its the junk food the last few days

thats the great thing really about having the surgery you can eat what you want but small amounts but the last few ddays/weeks ive been eating loads of junk which is out of character for me i used to eat so healthy and its made me feel rubbish. So ive done a big shop with lots of fish aand veg etc.  The turkish takeaway is fine - better than fish and chips anyway ha ha

My cakes are better than shop bought lol

@Geegeenumber1 you could always half the ingredients and make smaller one but they do stay fresh for quite a while I made it on sat and still OK today . Bigger supermarket do a wider range

@SueHeath tbh I don't eat many cakes I make them have 1 or 2 pieces and the boys have the rest but would happily post you one

I used to make celebration cakes for friends and family b4 my sight got bad now I need toby to help measure out etc but at least he learning to bake
