Hi my name is Jamhan, I suffered a Brain Stem stroke 18 months ago. Receive low living allowance only took 10 months to get after a MR. Recently done a change of circumstance for mobility, it was more or a realisation and acceptance of my condition for the mobility part on 7/12/21. I am now waiting for another assessment, hope everyone is well as they can be today x

Hi @Jamhan. Welcome to Scope’s forum. It is great to see you have joined us. How are you today? I am well thank you.
Sorry to hear you suffered a Brain Stem stroke 18 months ago. That sounds like a really difficult experience for you.
Though, pleased to hear you managed to access some financial support (living allowance). I am wishing you all the best of luck with your other assessment.
It sounds like you have come a long way to realise and accept your condition. Not least enough to apply for the mobility part of the living allowance.
Please keep us up to date with how you are doing. We are all here for you
