I won my tribunal. How long does it take to get backdated pay? Will I get normal payments still?

Hopefully it'll come through by the end of the week @benjiboy I'm sorry to hear you've not received it yet, quite a few people are in the same boat frustratingly. Let us know how things go!0

Hi thanks all theses posts have been mind settling and helpful.
Been in the same boat myself waiting for the decision and it defnitly took a long time! I had my phone call asking about hospital ect on the 10th so I'm hoping il recive mine next week.
I did also recive a text on the 11th from dwp saying that they have processed it .0 -
I've had the call almost 3months now and I'm still waiting so it's definitely possible it takes longer than 8 weeks but I do hope you get yours next week shanoo0

Thanks for your update @jacktiddles that's positive news, I hope you're able to relax and enjoy the weekend now
And I'm pleased to hear things are moving forward for you as well @Shanoo, and that you've found the community helpful.
It's a shame to hear you've had such a long wait @mrcorleone2021, it might be worth chasing up if you're able to, have you been managing okay in the meantime?0 -
@Alex_Scope I'm managing fine thanks for asking I'm in no rush to start getting paid but I will most likely be ringing them up on Monday will let you know what they say1
-
Glad to hear you are managing fine @mrcorleone2021. That sounds really positive.
How are you feeling about ringing them up on Monday at the moment? Wishing you the best of luck with this0 -
@L_Volunteer a bit nervous I really don't like talking in person or over phone but I got people who can help when I need it so I should be fine and thank you for your luck0

Hi guys
New here and just wanted to see if you were new claims or if you currently received pip and appeal a change of circumstances.
I first received pip for daily living standard only then due to a change in my health reclaimed and also was awarded mobility at standard I appealed and tribunal was on 7th. Heard last week I've won being backdated to may 2021 to receive enhanced mobility but not heard from dwp yet1 -

After a Tribunal win it can take anything up to 8 weeks to receive any money owed.

Glad you managed to find the answer @Dan2three. Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything else to help0

Update thanks everyone for the support reason it to so long to be paid was there was a error in some paper work and because it was a larger amount these to things combined set it back by 4month but got a call today and they paid me there and then0
-
Why the hell does it take 8 weeks to send a faster payment through to your bank account? I have waited well over a year, just for the judge to grant me my PIP in about 10 minutes with next to no questioning, and now it's two more months for a payment to come through. Can you think of a private company that takes 2 months to send a payment to you? Everyone in the DWP needs to be fired and the whole institution should be built from the ground up7

Thanks for sharing your update with us @mrcorleone2021. You are welcome for our support, our support is the very least you deserve.
It sounds like such a relief that you got a call and they paid you there and then! I am really happy for you0 -
I have received a letter from the tribunal overturning the DWP decision for PIP. I applied 3 August 2021 the appeal was on the 24 October 2022. So 14.5 months to get someone to believe me. I haven’t heard anything from DWP yet, I’m sure they do it on purpose to make our health, especially mental health worse. Although it is stressful it’s worth persevering. I just hope I don’t have to wait 8+ weeks to receive my payments.1

Hi everyone
just a quick question after you have won your tribunal how long does it take dwp to contact you ?0 -
Can take a couple of months.0
-
Seems long, so it takes two months for them to contact you then after that another eight weeks to receive your money?0

Lots of people are contacted within a couple of weeks.Remember they have the same chance we do to appeal the decision but they can't do this without first requesting the statement of reasons. Once they receive this they need to find an error in law before they can take it any further. They sometimes request it but rarely appeal it and if they request it, it doesn't mean they are appealing. If they request it, it can delay them putting your award into payment and paying what they owe you.0

Hi really hoping someone can help! I received my decision from my tribunal today to say I have been awarded standard mobility. Since requesting the appeal my health has gotten significantly worse. Can I do a change of circumstances or do I need to start a new claim?
thankyou.0
