It's not unusual to wait an hour for someone to answer. The best time to ring is usually as soon as they open.
So they answered after half an hour. My assessment was a few weeks ago so they passed me through to ATOS (or whatever they are called now). They were lovely, but said my assessment was in their audit system, and that this was a good thing as it meant DWP wouldn’t reject the report. I genuinely have no idea what this means. I’m more confused now than ever. DWP don’t reject reports?

When a report is in audit it means they are checking the assessor did their job correctly. It's nothing at all for you to worry about. It doesn't mean anything other than they are checking the assessor.
The only bad thing about these audits is that is delays the decision making process because a decision can't be made until the report is returned to DWP. There's no timescales how long it will remain in the audit.

We have not yet made a decision on your PIP claim. We will write to you when we have made a decision. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change.

I think it was pure coincidence that you requested the report and then had the text. DWP have been sending out more text messages of updates recently, which is probably their way of trying to cut down on those who often ring them for updates.

When i said DWP probably did this to cut down on those who ring frequently, i didn't mean you specifically. I meant other claimants in general. Sorry, if you thought i meant you.
