Hi all just sent my pip renewal form off, been advised by my mh team I should be entitled to enhanced rate mobility due to my mh but never even scored one point b4, I suffer with ptsd, anxiety, depression, paranoia, eupd,Auditory hallucinations,
Hyper vigilance, so not sure if I'm entitled to it in the first place, I need some one with me to make sure I don't do anything stupid, if there is a diversion I freak out, have panic attack, get angry, can't drive to places I don't know, and really can't use public transport  and most the time I'm scared to leave my house

Hello and welcome to the community @stuy77 thanks for taking the time to post this morning :)

I hope you get the outcome you're looking for, and if you have any questions while you wait to hear back then please feel free to ask them here. How do you feel about the renewal?

You are welcome to have a look around and get involved on the forum whenever you’d like 😊 I've linked a few good starting places to explore and get to know other members below:

    • The virtual coffee lounge which is one of our categories, in which we play games and talk about general subjects such as hobbies and interests
    • The recent discussions page, which shows an overview of everything happening across the community
    • The categories page, which shows a full list of discussion groups on the community

If you have any questions at all then don’t hesitate to ask.

    Alex

If this is true the majority of the time then you won't score 12 points here that's needed for Enhanced mobility. Activity 1E following and planning a journey, can not undertake any journey because it would cause overwhelming psychological distress to the claimant, scores 10 points.
A claimant who satisfies 1E cannot also satisfy 1F. If they cannot undertake a single journey on the majority of days due to overwhelming psychological distress, then 1E will be the applicable descriptor, even if there are occasions when they could follow a familiar route, if accompanied.

Hi @stuy77 :) Welcome to the community! How are you doing today?

I'm sorry to hear that things seem to be quite tough at the moment, though I'm glad to hear that you currently have the support of a mental health team. Are they aware of how much your conditions are affecting you at the moment?
I need some one with me to make sure I don't do anything stupid
Do you mind me asking what you mean by 'anything stupid'?

Can someone usually accompany you when you go outside, such as a loved one or someone from your mental health team?
most the time I'm scared to leave my house
This must be difficult. Are you able to get all of the essential items you need, such as food and medicine?

If you feel you need someone to talk to who'll listen without judgement, you might like to contact one of the following organisations:
    • Samaritans: call 116 123, or email jo@samaritans.org
    • SHOUT: text SHOUT to 85258 to speak to a volunteer over text message
    • CALM: call 0800 58 58 58, or use their live web chat, between 5pm and 12am

Hi @stuy77 :) I just wanted to check in with you to see how you've been doing over the past week. How have things been?
