It's not paid at all during the waiting period, which is 3 full assessment periods and then it's paid from the 4th month after you reported your health condition, providing you continued to send fit notes without any gaps.Your waiting period will be Sept/Oct, Oct/Nov, Nov/Dec.. LCWRA starts from AP 14th Dec - 13th Jan..first payment January 20th.This means they owe you 6 months money, not including this month, if you don't receive the extra on this months statement then they will owe you 7 months. It usually takes them a few weeks to pay you what they owe you. First they have to recalculate your past statements so they can work out what you've already been made and what you should have been paid. You will then receive the difference between the 2.Once this is done you'll receive a letter onto your journal telling you how much they owe. It will then be paid into your bank. The above advice is assuming you don't claim UC with a partner that already receives the LCWRA element on your claim.0

Hi and welcome to the never ending saga of LCWRA, I had my assessment on 13th May 2022 and a message in journal on 6th June saying I had been awarded LCWRA and no longer required to send fit notes and a report would be in my Journal in around the mythical 7 working days, I had a phone call on the 8th of June 2022 from my work coach explaining no further fit notes required and upgrade in extra money I would receive and back dated money would follow, at this point I had given 16 months of fit notes, and as of today 13th July 2022 I have received one payment of the extra money and despite leaving messages in journal no update to back payments, so I think it is a waiting game as the original 7 working days are long gone, but I hope you receive it sooner rather than later.1

Your earnings will need be taken into account but (if already applicable) a 'Work Allowance' will be applied to the claim which means that the first £379 or £631 of your earnings will be ignored (the lower amount applies if your claim includes help with rent, the higher amount if it isn't).0 -
Thank you Calcotti, that was helpful, d I have to complete another form now to claim the benefit?0

Morning everyone, I was awarded LWCRA on Saturday 31st September, just received my uc statement of which I get paid on 13th October, and I have received my first payment of £390.06. , what happens with the back pay please. By my reckoning they owe me 2 months back pay .0

Hi @tattyted68 - if any backpay is due, this is usually sent separately.
