Hello I'm new on here so hey 👋🏼 everyone..
I wanted to asked I've been on UC for 2 years now.. I privately rent.. my rent is 1700 per month.. when me and my ex husband Divorced 2 years ago.. I told UC that I am solely on the tenancy agreement.. but when I logged into my UC its says that they are paying for 2 people on the which £850 each..
So what they give me goes all on my rent..however if I've told them it's just me.. Will my payments decrease?? As I don't want that to happened.. I have two boys.. one whom is on the spectrum..
Will I be entitled to more.. which I'm happy with what I'm getting because it covers my rent and I am grateful for that
Does anybody know
Thanks guys

When you told them you were living alone they should have changed to housing element to give you the maximum amount of Local Housing Allowance for a one bedroom property (check here https://lha-direct.voa.gov.uk/Search.aspx) or £1700, whichever is lower.
If the LHA is more than £850 you should raise it as a payment query.

This is what I received from UC the other day.. any ideas anyone.. I just don't want them dropping payments0

If you said there was another person on your tenancy agreement then this will be why you didn't receive what you were entitled to. You need to give them the information they've asked for, once this is done your statements can be recalculated so they can work out exactly how much is owed.

Yes they give me £1646 and my rent is £1700
So it says on the tenancy agreement they are paying £850 each because there's 2 on agreement.. I find it confusing myself
But I wasn't sure what to do

Whatever you now need to give UC exact details of when your husband moved out. If you don't complete the 'to do' they may suspend the housing element.0 -
