Hi, I had my face to face yesterday after putting my claim in at the end of March - an hour later I received a text saying "We've received the written report of your PIP assessment. We will write to you once we've made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 8 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank you."
Is this standard? Also I can't find the automated line number that several people have mentioned.
Thank you in advance for any information 😊

    Hello @diddydi1968

Welcome to the online community, how are you today?

This is a very supportive and welcoming site to be a part of so I’m hopeful that you’ll find it to be a positive outlet. Feel free to have a look around and get involved wherever you’d like 😊 I have included below a few of the pages I’d recommend having a look through to get used to things:

    • The virtual coffee lounge which is one of our categories, in which we play games and talk about general subjects such as hobbies and interests
    • The recent discussions page, which shows an overview of everything happening across the community
    • The categories page, which shows a full list of discussion groups on the community

If you have any questions at all then don’t hesitate to ask.

I have moved your thread over to our PIP category which you might find it helpful to browse for related discussions. How did you find your assessment? Are you satisfied with how it went? Within an hour is quite a quick turn around for the report to be submitted to the DWP but the fact that it was quick doesn't suggest anything about what the outcome might be.

Thank you for the welcome, I will have a look around.
The assessment was dreadful, my appointment was at 9am but my assessor didn't turn up until 9.45am and then it was over an hour of very similar questions so I was absolutely exhausted when it eventually finished and I really don't know how it went, she was quite an odd lady who told me she had been sleeping on her trampoline during this weather 😅

That’s a normal standard text message you received. It’s perfectly normal for the report to be returned quickly after the assessment and doesn’t mean anything other than this.
The automated payment line you’re talking about is the PIP helpline 0800 121 4433 option 6. You will only have information from that if you have a PIP award and a payment is expected.
Decision timescales are up to 12 weeks rather than 8 weeks.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thanks for your reply, sorry to hear that your assessment was dreadful. Hopefully you get a positive outcome though. Strange about the trampoline bit, I can't think of much worse during this heat.

Hi just to let you know I received a text yesterday to say that I have been awarded pip and should receive a letter within 2 weeks.
I phoned and the automated voice said I will get £505 on 26th August which seems an odd amount

That sounds like such a lovely treat @diddydi1968. I've never been to TGI! But I've heard some wonderful things about TGI. What did you have at TGI just out of curiosity?  :)

My friend has just told me that I should get money back from the date I applied- is that correct as that would be quite a lot of money and with everything the Government is handing out I can't see that being right
