Hi, I had my face to face yesterday after putting my claim in at the end of March - an hour later I received a text saying "We've received the written report of your PIP assessment. We will write to you once we've made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 8 weeks. You don't need to contact us unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank you."
Is this standard? Also I can't find the automated line number that several people have mentioned.
Thank you in advance for any information 😊

Hello @diddydi1968
Welcome to the online community, how are you today? This is a very supportive and welcoming site to be a part of so I’m hopeful that you’ll find it to be a positive outlet. Feel free to have a look around and get involved wherever you’d like 😊 I have included below a few of the pages I’d recommend having a look through to get used to things:
- The virtual coffee lounge which is one of our categories, in which we play games and talk about general subjects such as hobbies and interests
- The recent discussions page, which shows an overview of everything happening across the community
- The categories page, which shows a full list of discussion groups on the community
If you have any questions at all then don’t hesitate to ask.
I have moved your thread over to our PIP category which you might find it helpful to browse for related discussions. How did you find your assessment? Are you satisfied with how it went? Within an hour is quite a quick turn around for the report to be submitted to the DWP but the fact that it was quick doesn't suggest anything about what the outcome might be.

Thank you for the welcome, I will have a look around.
The assessment was dreadful, my appointment was at 9am but my assessor didn't turn up until 9.45am and then it was over an hour of very similar questions so I was absolutely exhausted when it eventually finished and I really don't know how it went, she was quite an odd lady who told me she had been sleeping on her trampoline during this weather 😅0 -
That’s a normal standard text message you received. It’s perfectly normal for the report to be returned quickly after the assessment and doesn’t mean anything other than this.
The automated payment line you’re talking about is the PIP helpline 0800 121 4433 option 6. You will only have information from that if you have a PIP award and a payment is expected.Decision timescales are up to 12 weeks rather than 8 weeks.1 -
Thank you, this is all very new to me and quite daunting0

Hi just to let you know I received a text yesterday to say that I have been awarded pip and should receive a letter within 2 weeks.
I phoned and the automated voice said I will get £505 on 26th August which seems an odd amount0 -
That's great news @diddydi1968 it's lovely to hear this.
Sorry i have no idea about the ££££ but hopfully one of the members that know about this sort of thing will respond.1 -
It's like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders, the waiting is so stressful0
-
It is isn't it, when you get your letter you will see how much and for how long - but most of us got our letters way after our payment ha ha

That amount is standard daily living and Enhanced mobility. Great news.

Well done @diddydi1968, and thank you for letting us know I'm glad you feel as though a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Will you be doing anything to help you relax?0
-
So glad Poppy picked up on your post, she's great with this sort of thing.
Now you can breath and relax a bit you can join us in the virtual coffee lounge, if your ready.
You can join in on any of the chats/threads or even start your own chat. Or just have a look around our great site, any problems just ask, some one is bound to be on the forum you help you out.1 -
I'm not sure, maybe a bit of retail therapy 😊0
-
Ooh, that sounds good @diddydi1968! Do you have anything in mind?0
-
Tori We went for lunch rather than shopping- TGI which was a real treat for us both0
-
That sounds like such a lovely treat @diddydi1968. I've never been to TGI! But I've heard some wonderful things about TGI. What did you have at TGI just out of curiosity?0
-
Lovely @diddydi1968 I haven't been to TGIs in years!2
-
I had loaded potato skins and my daughter had chicken strips and seasoned dirty fries. Absolutely delicious 😋1

My friend has just told me that I should get money back from the date I applied- is that correct as that would be quite a lot of money and with everything the Government is handing out I can't see that being right0
