Hi all,

I Received a motability scheme letter and information leaflet, "as you are now on enhanced pip you are entitled to....."
Received assessor report which is fantastic as expected with 12 points, but I have not had a decision letter or back payment received?

Would I have received this letter if my DM isn't working on my claim.

Thanks in advance

Kym

Hello @Kymbers007 and welcome to the community, how are you today?

I hope you enjoy taking part in the online community. Feel free to have a look around and get involved wherever you’d like 😊 I have included below a few of the pages I’d recommend having a look through to get used to things:

    • The virtual coffee lounge which is one of our categories, in which we play games and talk about general subjects such as hobbies and interests
    • The recent discussions page, which shows an overview of everything happening across the community
    • The categories page, which shows a full list of discussion groups on the community

If you have any questions at all then don’t hesitate to ask.

It's good that you have received the assessors report and that it, along with e motability letter, indicated that you have been awarded, but of course it's good to have the decision letter and backpay in your account to confirm everything. Hopefully it won't be too much longer, but you could always call up and enquire about it if it becomes a concern for you :)

A letter can take a few days to arrive. Depends how long you have been waiting. If you are worried it's gone astray ring PIP and ask if it's been issued and if so when.

You are welcome @Kymbers007. It sounds tough that they're still none the wiser. Hopefully, the wait will go quickly for you! If we can do anything to help in the meantime, please don't hesitate to let us know  :)

Update.  I Was told yesterday 10 August 2022 that I have been awarded enhanced for both mobility and living on my review. All good but the back payment (£2300) has gone to debt management to see if I owe any parties money?

Is this protocol I definitely do not owe any money.

    Any advice would be great.

Good news. Do you owe anything to HMRC for any tax credits claim in the past? Sometimes HMRC debt will be passed onto DWP.

Hi Poppy not that I'm aware of but there may be something lurking in my past ? I never included any back payment in my figures I was more interested in the claim itself.

The chap said it's common practice to go to debt management to check if anything is owing before any overpayment is issued.

    Ill keep you updated

Overpayment? Do you mean backpay is issued? If so, that's not correct. Back payment would only usually go to debt management if they think you owe some money for something.

Hi Blinky.. .Applied January 13th 2022 .....Phone assessment May 27th.......Assessment report sent to DWP 2 weeks later ( audit) but received a copy three days later which was brilliant ,in fact had a great experience....Told yesterday August 10 I have been awarded enhanced on both.
First payment in September just the back payment to sort out.

Hi Kymbers007  thank you so much. I sent my review away 4 weeks ago so I'm just very curious how long the waiting time is. I have my head saying next year to me so anything sooner will be a bonus.

Again I'm well chuffed for you and glad your experience of your claim went so well.

Reviews are currently taking longer than new claims. Some members here have been waiting a year for a decision on their review.
