Pip points. Have I got my understanding of it wrong?

Hi all newbie here. This morning I had my pip decision though and its really baffled and worried me. From my understanding is that I needed 8 points for mobility and living. I scored 17 on the living and 14 on the mobility part yet they told me they cannot award me anything for it. Am I missing something here or have I got my understanding of it wrong?. Any advice would be great.

Hi @Agoraphobe
As calcotti says it is certainly worth a call to check whether there has been a mistake. Does the decision notice state that they can't award you any points in respect of the mobility component only ? Can I ask whether you are over state pension age ?0 -
Hi ya thanks for the replies. I'm 42 and the points decision was " Your Total score for the mobility part is 14 points. This means that I cannot award you PIP for help with your mobility needs". For the daily living they scored me 17 points and as above said they "I cannot award you pip for my daily living". Its really stressed me out and confused me.

Thanks I called and have been awarded it. Was an admin error that has now been corrected by one of the dwp managers.1

Ah that's good @Agoraphobe well done for finding out, I'm sure it must've been a nerve-wracking call! I'm so pleased to hear you've been awarded.
How are you feeling about it?0 -
Very relieved I was hoping I would get the standard rate but that I got the extra was a huge bonus. My care Coordinator messaged n said she would sort it for me but I thankfully told her that they had sorted it by then. It's worrying though that this has happened and how many others have been put through this unfairly. The DWP were really good on the phone to be fair to them and were pretty quick to correct the error.1
