Claiming UC will have nothing at all to do with it. I can only assume they’ve sent you the forms this early because of the backlogs. You could always ring PIP and ask why you’ve been sent the forms now as your award doesn’t end until 2024.

basically I have been fighting to get pip since 2018 on and off. After they had awarded me enhanced for daily living and standard for mobility I left it even though I knew deep down I should of been awarded enhanced for both. Then I received a letter saying the law had changed and I think it was you that put my mind at ease saying a few people could be entitled to more because of the law change. So I filled out the new forms about engaging with people face to face and sent relevant evidence. And I couldn’t believe my ears when someone from pip Dwp phoned me in November last year stating they had made a huge error and they were awarding me enhanced for both but not just that they were backdating the mobility back to 2018 I think. I got a payment of £15 000 and told I wouldn’t hear from them until at least May 2023 as my award was until February 2023. Now I have to basically send the same evidence off as I did last year. It just seems wrong to me especially as I have just made a claim to UC as you know. And they haven’t awarded me LCWRA as you know so now they are telling me I’m not entitled to it even though I was in support group esa for years. I have to put in for a reconsideration mandatory for that now too

Ok thank you once again Poppy 😊 I will try and get through the form before 18th October. If it’s not one thing it’s another 🤣
I’m alive and breathing so that’s a positive, there are always people in a worse situation.

    Have a lovely evening
    take care

I can only assume that it's because of the backlogs but as i advised you will need to ring them to ask why you've been sent the forms so early. However, even though your current award isn't due to end until 2024 they can reassess you at anytime.
I totally understand the frustration of these reviews but everyone is in the same boat and we'll constantly have to continue to prove we qualify.
For the LCWRA element have you done what i advised you to do?

I struggle to speak to people on the phone but I will try and phone PIP tomorrow 😊
I did make a note on my journal under the payment section telling them that the LCWRA element was missing and I had a reply again saying they would look into it. I had notified them on 16th September to say it was missing and on my new statement for October I have been told it is missing on there too. I suppose I have to wait and pray that they eventually award it me. I have a work focused interview on 2 November with my work coach over the phone that is causing me a great deal of distress but I was hoping they would cancel that if I get awarded the LCWRA element

This is why I was hoping if I was entitled to have a support worker or somebody help me with all this it is too much for my brain

Can your husband ring them on your behalf? Although you would need to go through security first and then you can tell them that your husband will continue to the call for you.
How do you know the LCWRA element is missing from your October statement, it's only September. The statement isn't done until after your assessment period ends.

That is a good point , I will get my husband to phone on my behalf… I phoned up a payment dispute phone number the other day and spoke to a gentleman who looked into it for me and he mentioned that the LCWRA wasn’t on next month’s statement either (even though I can’t access this at the moment) on my account online. He was bemused himself.

I spoke to council tax also and they said I wasn’t disabled enough to qualify to be disregarded for council tax 😒 she basically said that I wasn’t in a wheelchair etc… it’s only for severely disabled people and if I can walk I’m fine. She said we all have bills to pay and I do have pip to fall back on. She really was so derogatory towards me, so much so I cried for 2 hours afterwards 😭
then I got a letter through the post to find my pip award letter review

it’s been a very testing day I must say

It just seems I’m always trying to protest my innocence and convince Dwp that I am poorly.

we live in a sad situation

The only good thing I noticed Poppy on my commitments section on my universal credit account is that I have to search for work 0 hours (I’m hoping this is a good sign) would you agree?

Potentially yes. However, if they had recently changed then you would have had to agree to them. When you have LCWRA the only commitments you have is to report all changes.

Oh I see. When I went to the initial appointment (first one) with my husband this is what my work coach said. I supplied a letter from my doctor (as a fit note) as I had never had to supply one before and I then explained I was on employment support allowance support group since 2008 etc….
they said that was fine and accepted the letter as a fit note as it detailed my illnesses and how severe they were. Incidentally it was a few days later that an appointment was made for me to attend a work focused interview on the phone. The lady at the job centre saw me crying and in distress and I had a panic attack. The interview was supposed to last an hour but in total it lasted 11 minutes. I honestly don’t know what’s happening
I have checked all my bank statements and I have all of the employment and support allowance payments as evidence all I know is that they are getting a case manager to look at it for me. In the meantime I have to start my PIP form as it Hass to be completed and received by 18 October or my money will stop

I think I also need to phone employment support allowance tomorrow again and ask them to let universal credit know as soon as possible

That’s exactly what you need to do. ESA should have received the MPG1 form from UC asking for the information.
There’s really nothing else I can advise other than what I’ve already given.
Hopefully the case manager will contact you also.

Yes, it also says you will attend appointments. That tells me that the LCWRA hasn’t been added.
