Hello everyone my name is John
and I retired from work back in Feb this year. My journey with Essential Tremor started back in the early 70s suffered with this in my left hand/arm some 10 years ago my right hand started to shake and wasn't able to write. Tried the drugs none would stop the shaking Propranolol would slightly ease the tremor. 2019 had the opportunity to have Deep Brain Stimulation for Essential tremor (Bi-lateral Cordal Zona with a bluetooth battery and programmer. November 2021 had a second operation to fit Directional leads. 😃 👌(don't normally write online but I feel I need to help others with what I have gone through. cheers

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum teddybear. First time on this site so apologies if mistakes are made. I'm 66 year old male suffering from Crohns disease and 2019/2021 had Deep Brain Stimulation for Essentail Tremor currently retired and claiming state pension and pip. I found getting information for DBS with the exception of the consultants, Specialist nurses ect but it the experience that I have been through. it been a big change ect learning to write normally my wife would write carry plates and cups of tea/coffee, I'm going to stop here for now and see if anyone can add or whatever to my ailments. Thanks0
