hi after months of waiting a finaly had my pip telephone assessment.  was very stressed and emotional.  make me sad how they can make someone feel even lower then they already was.. I don't think it went well at all.. the assessment took 2 hours 59 minutes.  it was absolutely exhausting.  is it normal for an assessment to last that long.  are they allowed to do that

    Hello there @kazan and thanks for reaching out today, I'm sorry your PIP assessment was so exhausting and stressful as well. Well done for getting through it, that's the hardest part done :)

    Make sure you take some time for your mental health, and do what works for you- to help you feel comfortable and relaxed. It often helps to focus on things you enjoy, to help pass the time while you  wait for the decision. We'll be here to support you whatever happens.

    Sometimes they can last that long. It's perfectly normal to feel this way after an assessment because no one likes talking about their conditions and how we are affected. They need to ask you those questions so they can gather as much evidence as possible.
    At this stage it's impossible to predict anything. Once the assessment report is returned to DWP a decision can take between 2-12 weeks.
