PIP coming to an end without notice

Hi,

I suffer severely with mental health issues and am in receipt of both ESA and PIP.

I’ve today been advised by ESA that my disability premiums is coming to an end and on contacting PIP I’ve been advised that this is owing to me not reapplying for PIP. However, I was of the understanding that my PIP was due to end towards the end of this year beginning of next so this should not be happening and no attempt at communication to advise me of a pending reassessment have been made (due to the fact it’s still around 4 months until I was of the understanding that my claim was active until, I assumed I would be hearing from them in the coming weeks).

I am unable to work due to my illnesses and said illnesses have worsened since my last reassessment therefore I still require state benefits.

What action can I take to ensure my benefits continue ideally without a break or period of time without them.
