Hi just found this. I suffer with stenosis of the spine.
Found in Spain 10 years ago and no joys here whatsoever. Now asked for another referral to Bath to be examined properly so that I have expert prognosis and what to expect.... 3 times local hospital referred me to pain clinic.... came off opioids as did nothing. I have oromorph but reluctant to take it as makes me useless for few days and also lose control of bladder.
I will be interested to hopefully hear from others if still about regarding treatment, symptoms one suffers to date for comparison purposes..... currently have been up all night due to pain... normally goes for 2 days at a time, but that is also due to the loss of my lovely wife this time last year almost.
Apart from me, I wish everyone here the best possible

Good morning @BLUEBOTTLE welcome to our fantastic group.
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your wife, not a good time for you darling, first anniversary's are awful. Do you have support of friends or family.
When your ready have a look around the site, we have lots going on, any problems just ask, someone is bound to be on line.
Going back to your stenosis, there are a few of us members with the condition, i myself have the condition, it's my Demon. I was hoping (sort of ha ha) to be able to have the opp, but my spine is not stable enough, so i am just limpling along and trying different meds to help with the pain. At present i am on a waiting list to try some pain blockers.0
