Hello everyone
Ve been on pip since September 2016 and ve had a review in 2019 and got rewarded until September 2022 but COVID hit and it was moved until June 2023 ... Well July this year I received the renewal form and I got help and filled it out and send it back I received a text the 8th August 22 saying they have my form and be in touch so I waited a while then I got in touch with my local MP and she sent a letter back saying they have alot of claims to get thou the when they get chance they will be in touch well that was 28th October 22 and then by the 1st November 22 I received another text of DWP saying they still have my form and they will be in touch... Well now we are at the end of December 22 and still no word and it's really affecting my mental health

You are not alone in having to wait quite sometime for a decision. We have members here that have been waiting more than a year.Backlogs are huge for reviews. They’ve been concentrating on new claims for quite sometime.
I do realise it’s frustrating waiting but there’s nothing more you can do but wait. Most people have assessments so it’s likely you’ll need one of those. Once an appointment becomes available you’ll be contacted. In the meantime your current award will continue until a decision is made on the review.2 -
Hello @ep71. Welcome to Scope's forum. It is great to see you have joined us. How are you at the moment?
Thanks for already finding the courage to reach out to us. I appreciate how much courage it can take to reach out, especially when you are new and finding things difficult.
I can see Poppy has already responded to your post though. Do you feel Poppy's response has provided you with the support you were looking for?
Please don't hesitate to let us know if we can do anything else to support you. We are all here for you and listening to you.
You don't have to face this, or anything else, alone if you don't want to. Take care for now and we will look forward to, hopefully, hearing from you again soon1
